Plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes in an industrial plant by developing, evaluating, and improving manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards. Acts as a technical advisor for all matters related to sub-assembly processes. Utilize experience in assembly line material presentation to the assembly line, PFEP, and setting up new stations and sub-assembly modules from scratch. Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for the purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards. Estimates production times, staffing requirements, CAPEX costs, and related costs to provide information for management decisions. Evaluates, recommends, and implements changes to current manufacturing processes by analyzing production, time studies, and material costs. Evaluates capital equipment investments, coordinates obtaining quotes, prepares cost justifications, and manages the overall implementation and success of capital equipment projects. International travel required up to 5%; Domestic travel required up to 20%.
