About The Position

Aon is seeking a business development professional to join our Reinsurance Team. This role will have a direct focus on producing new business, generating new client opportunities, and assisting in the development of sales and marketing strategy designed to cultivate revenue generation opportunities. This role can be based in any of the following locations: Chicago, NY City, Boston, Stamford/Southport, Philadelphia, Atlanta, West Palm Beach, Minneapolis, Dallas, Seattle, San Francisco, Aon is in the business of better decisions At Aon, we shape decisions for the better to protect and enrich the lives of people around the world. Requirements

  • Prior business development/sales experience in the reinsurance industry
  • Knowledge of insurance company financial statements to determine best entrance into a company to present Aon in the most optimal position.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with capability to interact with major clients to cultivate and maintain strong relationships at a most senior level.
  • Strong market presence within the broking industry
  • Entrepreneurial attitude with high level of accountability for profitability and client satisfaction
  • Ability to drive team(s) to deliver the highest in client service, quality, and results.
  • Known problem-solver who anticipates issues and suggests creative solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Works closely in collaboration with broking teams across solution lines to focus efforts on the development of new business and establishing relationships with clients and prospects that align with business targets.
  • Identifies specific client and prospect needs and develops innovative and cost-effective solutions.
  • Maintains a detailed understanding and knowledge of all available Aon resources and solutions available and matching those to client business requirements.
  • Achieves high client satisfaction by providing exceptional service.
  • Cultivates and promotes a team approach to both internal and external business relationship.
