About The Position

The Senior Manager, US Communications for Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare will play a key role in shaping and amplifying the US communications strategy in the brand’s home market. This includes developing, executing and supporting holistic activity across press, influencer marketing, events, partnerships, retail/consumer activations, thought leadership and more – supporting overall business objectives. The ideal candidate should be highly organized, have exceptional interpersonal skills and be able to execute PR & Communications initiatives (writing, briefing, media and influencer relations management).

Requirements

  • 5-8 years prior experience in public relations or communications role.
  • Strong understanding of the beauty and cosmetics industry.
  • Proven success designing and executing marketing and communications strategies and campaigns.
  • Knowledge of online and social media/beauty landscape, ability to research and share ideas.
  • Excellent organizational project management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Creative thinker who is also able to think analytically and strategically.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills; able to work in a team; keen multitasker who can spearhead projects independently with accountability.
  • Able to multitask and manage multiple priorities with different deadlines.
  • Experience with influencer management platforms i.e. Tribe Dynamics and office tools i.e. Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

  • Support the US Communications Team in developing launch strategies and evergreen programming for press and influencers.
  • Accelerate brand awareness and promote Dr Dennis Gross Skincare and the Dermatology practice, while elevating Founders Dr. Dennis Gross and Carrie Gross as key thought leaders within the industry.
  • Plan and execute new launch initiatives and always on strategies to promote brand awareness.
  • Develop meaningful relationships with VIPs, celebrity makeup artists, aestheticians and tastemakers.
  • Help secure print, digital, and broadcast media placements and social mentions.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key editors in the press landscape.
  • Research trends for new pitch angles, research new outlets and pitches to expand press outreach.
  • Compile and manage media lists.
  • Manage US PR agency.
  • Develop holistic paid/earned strategy, driving influencer activations in tandem with Global Communications to aid in increasing brand awareness during key launch moments.
  • Create activation strategy around core/during non-launch moments to maintain momentum/conversation in influencer space, both earned and paid.
  • Monitor and utilize analytics to inform and develop influencer tactics to meet our goals and KPIs.
  • Foster strategic relationships with influencers and agents.
  • Develop strategy around additional influencer categories outside traditional “beauty influencers” i.e., makeup artists, derms, estheticians, celebrities, etc.
  • Own management of nano/micro influencers, UGC campaigns and community programs. Duties to include aligning with cross-functional partners on campaign objectives to drive business goals, analyzing results and identifying KPI’s, approving creators and content submissions, and managing day-to-day correspondence.
  • Manage all logistics including inventory, fulfillment, mailing lists and execution.
  • Act as subject matter expert on paid content – including changes in social platforms that will impact how paid content performs, creators that perform well in paid, how emerging platforms work in paid, etc.
  • Partner with Executive Director to develop briefs for paid initiatives and negotiate contracts, working with cross-functional partners in Global/US Marketing, Paid Media and Social Media to ensure brand messaging is cohesive.
  • Pitch Dr. Dennis Gross and Carrie Gross as experts in their fields to social influencers and media outlets.
  • Support Dr. Gross and Carrie Gross's appearances with broadcast, digital and print media.
  • Develop activations in tandem with Global Communications to aid in increasing brand awareness during key launch moments.
  • Create activation strategy around core/during non-launch moments to maintain momentum/conversation in influencer space.
  • Serve as point on execution of events including booking and managing communications with venues and production team; owning creative requests, invites, gift bags, budget, travel and event recap.
  • Help establish KPIs.
  • Analyze Tribe reporting for areas of opportunity; react proactively ahead of trends and prepare strategy to continue conversation during non-launch moments.
  • Communicate to executives notable trends, up-and-coming creators or emerging platforms and how to keep our brand top of mind.
  • Prepare regular reporting on earned and paid tactics to present to cross-functional teams.
  • Maintain product inventory and order new products on monthly basis.
  • Develop annual product forecasts, including new product launches and lab samples.
  • Be responsible for tracking budgets and managing invoices.
  • Assist in creating engaging multi-media presentations for global brand meetings, conferences and executives.
  • Help increase departmental efficiencies by implementing new processes (tracking system, forecasts, etc.).
