About The Position

The Senior Manager, Travel Insurance and Financial Protection Program will lead the day-to-day management, performance, and growth of Marriott’s Travel Insurance and Financial Protection Programs. Reporting to the Senior Director, Global Cards and Insurance, this role is responsible for overseeing program operations, managing key partner relationships, and driving initiatives that enhance customer experience and business performance. The position will lead efforts to optimize and grow current programs and expand travel insurance into key international markets, coordinating launch planning and execution with internal stakeholders, external partners, and consultants. The role will also support the evaluation, integration, and commercialization of new financial protection products and services, including insurance, warranty, guarantee, assistance, and other offerings. Working cross-functionally with teams across Legal, Risk Management, Finance, Technology, Marketing, and Operations, the Senior Manager will support growth opportunities, optimize program performance, monitor business and customer experience metrics, and ensure regulatory and operational requirements are met. The ideal candidate is a strategic, highly organized problem solver who can manage multiple priorities simultaneously, influence stakeholders, and independently drive complex initiatives from strategy through execution.

Requirements

  • 4-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related major; or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in the insurance, hospitality, consulting, or related industry

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day operations of the Travel Insurance program, including governance, issue resolution, partner coordination, and execution of priority initiatives.
  • Manage relationships with external partners, consultants, and vendors; establish clear workplans, accountabilities, and operating cadences.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to maintain program readiness, service quality, and a strong customer experience.
  • Lead cross-functional expansion initiatives for travel insurance in priority global markets, including business case development, launch planning, regulatory coordination, partner onboarding, contract support, and digital implementation oversight.
  • Develop and maintain a global expansion roadmap, identify dependencies and risks, and drive stakeholder alignment through launch and post-launch optimization.
  • Support the evaluation, integration, and commercialization of new financial protection products and services, including insurance, warranty, guarantee, assistance, and other offerings.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to assess customer needs, value propositions, economics, operational requirements, and distribution opportunities.
  • Monitor business KPIs, P&L performance, customer experience metrics, forecasts, and partner reporting to identify risks and growth opportunities.
  • Use data, testing, and partner expertise to optimize product design, pricing, offers, marketing, and distribution across Marriott channels.
  • Coordinate marketing and communications activities that support program growth and stakeholder alignment.
  • Partner with Legal, Risk Management, Compliance, Finance, Technology, Marketing, and Operations to ensure business, regulatory, licensing, and operational requirements are met.
  • Identify and communicate complex business, legal, regulatory, and operational considerations, escalating risks and recommendations as appropriate.
  • Support required licensing records, compliance protocols, and leadership reporting.
  • Develop and share expertise in travel insurance, financial protection, regulated-market launches, Marriott distribution channels, and relevant industry trends.
  • Influence stakeholders across the organization and independently drive complex initiatives from strategy through execution.
