About The Position

The Senior Manager, Total Rewards is a strategic partner responsible for leading the design, delivery, and ongoing management of Xponential’s total rewards programs, including benefits, wellness, compensation administration, payroll oversight, and HR systems. With deep expertise in benefits strategy and strong operational leadership, this role oversees the Payroll Manager and Senior Benefits Specialist, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and a high standard of service across payroll and benefits administration. This role partners closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to deliver programs that are market-competitive, cost-effective, and aligned with Xponential’s culture and workforce needs. It requires strong project management skills to lead multiple priorities such as benefits renewals, compensation cycles, payroll operations, compliance filings, and HRIS enhancements. The ideal candidate brings both technical depth and a practical, roll-up-your-sleeves mindset, with the ability to move between strategy and execution while contributing broadly across the People function.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience with a focus in Total Rewards, including compensation, benefits, equity, payroll, wellness, and HR systems.
  • 3+ years in a leadership role managing Total Rewards or similar functions in a fast-paced, growth-oriented organization; public company experience strongly preferred.
  • Deep expertise in compensation strategy, including salary structures, job leveling, market benchmarking, and incentive program design.
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS systems including system optimization and data governance, with specific experience in Paycor strongly preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of regulatory requirements, including FLSA, ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, and equity/payroll tax implications.
  • Track record of launching wellness programs that improve employee engagement and well-being.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to partner cross-functionally and influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills; experience building compensation models and executive dashboards is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and execution of the annual compensation cycle, including merit increases, promotions, and incentive programs
  • Provide strategic oversight of equity programs, including Long-Term Incentive Plans (LTIP), RSU administration, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP), in partnership with Legal, Finance, and Accounting.
  • Partner with Finance on incentive plan design and governance (quarterly, annual, sales commissions).
  • Ensure compliance with compensation-related regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Lead end to end project management of the annual benefits lifecycle, including planning, design, renewal, implementation, and post-implementation evaluation.
  • Provide direction and oversight to the Senior Benefits & HRIS Specialist, who manages day-to-day administration, ensuring high-quality execution and service delivery
  • Manage annual open enrollment, vendor relationships, and plan performance.
  • Oversee compliance with ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, and related regulations.
  • Design and implement programs that support employee well-being and engagement
  • Partner with vendors and internal teams to increase awareness and utilization of total rewards offerings
  • Gather employee feedback and continuously improve programs based on insights
  • Support planning and execution of company-wide events
  • Provide leadership and oversight to the Payroll Manager, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing
  • Ensure compliance with all payroll-related federal, state, and local regulations
  • Partner with Finance and Accounting to ensure alignment on payroll reporting, audits, and reconciliations
  • Drive process improvements and system optimization within payroll operations
  • Establish strong controls and audit practices to ensure data integrity and minimize risk
  • Lead the optimization of Xponential’s recently implemented Paycor system, identifying gaps, improving workflows, and stabilizing core functionality across payroll, benefits, and compensation
  • Partner with Payroll, Benefits, and IT to troubleshoot issues, improve system adoption, and ensure a consistent and reliable user experience
  • Establish strong data governance practices, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and alignment across systems and reporting
  • Leverage system capabilities and reporting to provide actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making
  • Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce manual work
