About The Position

Premium Title is a leading provider of innovative and integrated title insurance and settlement services solutions for the real estate and mortgage industries. Our Title and Settlement Services Business Unit is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Manager of Title Operations to join our team. The Senior Manager, Title and Trustee Services will drive product design and the services strategy for Premium Title. The Senior Manager will also act as the General Manager for the line of business implementing the plan for growth of the business and owning the P&L. You will work closely with Trustee and Title Operations and key stakeholders to achieve success.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a leadership role in mortgage valuation product development.
  • Knowledge/experience in driving innovative solutions for industry pain points.
  • Experience leading a Business Unit thru transformation.
  • Hands-on experience in resource and location strategy, opportunity analysis, business case development, outsourcing and vendor management.
  • Strong data analytics capabilities especially cost analysis and internal/external benchmarking.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in mortgage operations and compliance, with a focus on title and settlement services.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Knowledge of Title Operating Systems such as ResWare & Qualia.
  • Able to obtain Escrow/Title License within 60 days of hire.
  • Experience managing and developing teams.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
  • Has a reputation for absolute integrity with a proven ability to build trusted relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Define the business vision, strategy and road map, including determining relevant staffing levels.
  • Implement short and long-term growth initiatives.
  • P&L owner – will manage profit and loss for the business.
  • Responsible for establishing market competitive pricing while maintaining profitability.
  • Works with executive leadership and key stakeholders to develop annual budget(s).
  • Provides monthly forecasts against budget and year end outlook.
  • Develop and manage reporting dashboards to ensure products/services are meeting or exceeding internal and external SLAs.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure business case and customer satisfaction goals are met.
  • Gathers, manages and prioritizes market/customer requirements.
  • Develops business case for new products/services, improvement to existing products/services and business ventures.
  • Ensures sales product/service training occurs.
  • Coordinates beta and pilot programs for new products/services.
  • Lead and manage the operations and compliance functions in our Title and Settlement Services Business Unit.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including lenders, servicers, investors, and auditors.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of title transactions, including coordination with other departments and third-party vendors.
  • Develop and monitor key performance metrics and provide regular reporting to senior management.
  • Continuously improve processes and workflows to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage and develop a team of operations and compliance professionals.
  • Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of Team Leads and/or employees as applicable.
  • Steps in when a Team Lead or other leader is unavailable (Ex. PTO).
  • Ensure department is managed efficiently and in accordance with departmental goals.
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Coaches, develops, course corrects and discusses performance on an ongoing basis.
  • Communicates on a regular basis with all members of the team, regardless of time zones; is “available”.
  • Partners with People Solutions (PS) in hiring, development, corrective actions and termination of employees, as needed and in accordance with company policy.
