Loblaw Technology powers large-scale retail and digital platforms that serve millions of Canadians every day Senior Manager, Technology Risk & Resiliency Department: Technology Operations Location: 500 Lake Shore Boulevard West, Toronto, Ontario, M5V 2V9, Canada Reports To: Sr. Director, PCF Technology Operations We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Manager, Technology Compliance, Risk & Resiliency to lead regulatory alignment, technology risk oversight, cybersecurity resilience, and operational continuity across our Technology Operations function. This role plays a critical leadership position in ensuring that our technology platforms, infrastructure, cloud environments, and third-party services operate securely, compliantly, and resiliently within a regulated financial services environment. The successful candidate will act as the bridge between Technology, Risk, Compliance, Cybersecurity, and Executive Leadership.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in technology risk, compliance, cybersecurity, or resiliency.
  • Experience supporting regulatory exams and audit processes.
  • Experience leading resiliency and disaster recovery programs
  • Ability to translate technical risk into executive-level insights
  • Strong stakeholder and cross-functional leadership skills

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant certifications preferred (CRISC, CISSP, CISM, CISA, CBCP).
  • Strong regulatory and risk management expertise
  • Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, DR architecture, and cybersecurity frameworks

Responsibilities

  • Regulatory Compliance & Governance Lead compliance alignment with financial regulatory requirements for Technology teams
  • Support regulatory examinations, audits, and remediation tracking.
  • Maintain oversight of technology-related regulatory findings.
  • Prepare executive and board-level risk reporting.
  • Technology Risk Management Own and manage the Technology Risk Register.
  • Ensures completeness of the risk assessments across infrastructure, cloud, databases, and digital platforms.
  • Identify and mitigate single points of failure.
  • Oversee risk acceptances and ensure proper governance approvals.
  • Operational Resiliency & Continuity Key partner in Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) of bank critical processes.
  • Oversee Disaster Recovery (DR) strategy and testing.
  • Define and monitor disruption tolerances for critical services.
  • Coordinates scenario testing (cyber, cloud outage, third-party failure).
  • Strengthen backup, restore, and recovery capabilities.
  • Security & Third-Party Oversight Partner with Cyber Security on risk mitigation and control design.
  • Ensure strong cloud and infrastructure resilience.
  • Oversee risk management of critical vendors and cloud providers.
  • Ensure contingency and exit planning for material third parties.
