Requirements
- Ability to work and deliver the quality product under tight timeframes
- Excellent communication skills must be a team player
- Strong analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience in tax software
- Active CPA or EA license is required
- Five to seven (5-7) years of recent experience in public accounting, with a focus on preparing federal individual, fiduciary, and small business tax returns (C-Corp, S-Corp, Partnerships)
Nice To Haves
- A master’s degree in taxation or MBA is preferred
- Management experience in a CPA or tax practice, with the demonstrated ability to grow and develop associates preferred
Responsibilities
- Support and manage tax team members by sharing technical expertise, assisting with training, and contributing to a collaborative learning environment
- Work alongside wealth advisors to help implement tax strategies that complement clients’ broader financial plans
- Build strong client relationships by providing reliable tax advice and being a consistent point of contact for planning and compliance needs
- Review and sign complex tax returns—individual, fiduciary, and small business—with attention to accuracy and alignment with client goals
- Assist in coordinating tax planning activities, including quarterly estimates, projections, and year-end strategies
- Contribute to process improvements by identifying efficiencies and supporting the adoption of new tools and workflows
- Communicate clearly and effectively through client emails, technical memos, and planning documents
- Promote collaboration between tax and wealth teams by fostering open communication and shared client understanding
