Requirements

  • Minimum 5-7 years of relevant marketing or account management agency experience, with a mix of experience in mass advertising (above the line), digital, and targeted channels.
  • Exposure to the Agile methodology
  • Expertise in driving performance growth across multiple dimensions and KPIs
  • Deep knowledge of the marketing tech stack
  • Authentic, decisive, resilient, highly collaborative, and results-oriented

Responsibilities

  • Drive sustained and profitable revenue growth through the planning, development and delivery of acquisition and customer engagement marketing programs for Tangerine.
  • Drive full-funnel marketing programs and delivery of benefit-led campaigns that enable Tangerine Bank to achieve its strategic objectives.
  • Set and refine annual and quarterly marketing plans for assigned portfolio in collaboration with the Director.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing’s delivery groups to plan and execute customer-driven action plans and marketing programs.
  • Monitor consumer sentiment, market conditions, competitive activity, and short-term-demand opportunity on an ongoing basis to increase agility of planning processes and flexibility of budget deployment.
  • Collaborate with various cross-functional groups to plan and execute Bank-wide level action plans and marketing programs.
  • Be accountable for a customer-centric team (direct and/or indirect) that acquires, analyzes, and leverages insights drawn from market research and data analysis to establish the strategic direction of benefit-led campaign briefs.
  • Contribute in plans and briefs a deep understanding of Bank-wide and business partner needs, ensuring full buy-in and participation of multiple business, channel, and marketing partners in a highly matrixed environment.
  • Ensure squads have an efficient and effective central point to build-out campaign calendars (including media mix) and set individual program workback schedules.
  • Collaborate with groups to establish efficient workflows that ensure clarity of roles and accountability for team members across both practices.
  • Provide insight on budget management and coordination with partners for budget revisions.
  • Contribute to the development and deployment of creative assets, agnostic of media channel and across all touchpoints, acting as the squad’s main point of contact for creative and media agencies.
  • Lead the building of a high-performance culture centered on effective collaboration with business partners, Client Strategy, delivery teams, Marketing Performance Management, and Marketing Media Strategy, to build performance-oriented campaign plan summaries, debriefs, and enhancements.
  • Champion proper usage of the Tangerine brand in Canada, in full compliance with global brand guidelines and Tangerine’s visual identity continuum.
  • Lead and drive a customer-focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Champion a high-performance environment and demonstrate a commitment to Tangerine’s values, delivering results in accordance with Tangerine behavioral competencies.
  • Create an inclusive team culture and an environment where team members hear, share, and appreciate diverse perspectives.

  • Create an environment in which their team pursues effective and efficient operations in accordance with Tangerine’s Values, its Code of Conduct, and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to, and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions, and conduct risk.
