About The Position

L3Harris is seeking a Systems Engineering Manager that will be involved in activities directly related to the management of a team of experienced system engineers. Will be required to lead a team of system engineers through the development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, system architecture design, hardware and software integration, and verification and validation activities related to ELINT Airborne Systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance (with ability to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance).
  • Demonstrated experience with JIRA & confluence associated with integration and testing.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and establishing guidance across diverse teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in design, development, and/or testing of ELINT RF Antenna systems.

Responsibilities

  • Communicates within and outside of the organization to influence leadership to accept new practices, approaches, and concepts
  • Manages the implementation of functional strategies and recommends operational plans that directly impact the ELINT Systems department goals
  • Manages the experienced professionals of the ELINT Systems department
  • Responsible for creating workforce and staffing plans for the ELINT Systems department to ensure availability of human capital necessary to accomplish departmental business goals
  • Has hiring, firing, promotion and compensation authority within the ELINT Development Systems organization
  • Communicates with parties within and outside of the organization, which includes large customers and vendors
  • Works to influence others to accept new practices, concepts, and approaches
  • Requires ability to communicate and influence leadership regarding matters of substantial importance to the ELINT Systems department
  • Responsible for improving upon existing processes or establishing new processes and systems
