The Sr. Manager, Strategic Sourcing will lead strategic Industrial Construction and Facilities Engineering sourcing projects for new and existing sites across Ross’ supply chain network. Their primary goals will be to help Ross drive enterprise value through cost optimization, risk mitigation, and supplier innovation, procure materials, equipment and services at the best value and be a trusted strategic advisor to senior leadership and cross-functional executives. This person will influence and align senior stakeholders to define sourcing strategies and drive execution while identifying and mitigating financial, contractual and implementation risks. As one of the primary vendor-facing associates, this person will be responsible to act professionally and ethically in adherence with Ross’ values. The ideal candidate will have a background in industrial facility construction procurement / sourcing, with a strong understanding of construction cost estimation, project management and contract management, along with demonstrated leadership of large, complex, multi-million-dollar sourcing programs. To be successful, this person will lead cross-functional alignment across multiple business units and drive accountability towards deadlines. Additionally, the candidate will have deep industry knowledge, strong negotiation skills, and a proven track record in managing complex construction sourcing projects and influencing sourcing best-practices across the organization. This person will be responsible for leading end-to-end strategic sourcing projects and setting category strategies that define long-term sourcing direction including vendor research, category/market research, supplier rationalization, clean sheet analysis, market index analysis, data analysis, RFP development, bid management, tactical and strategic negotiations, multiple offer analysis, modeling (TCO / cash flow / “should cost”), recommended strategy and contract development and multi-year project planning. This role will also involve owning category performance outcomes like vendor management, spend analysis, proactive identification of supply constraints and mitigation strategies as well as escalating and resolving vendor conflicts. This person must be comfortable managing multiple planned and ad-hoc projects at a time. Strong project management, communication and prioritization skills are key in this role. This person will be expected to operate at both the tactical and strategic levels of the organization and consistently present findings and recommendations to an executive-level audience. The base salary range for this role is $125,800 - $206,650. The base salary range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards vary by position and location.
