About The Position

The Strategic Sourcing Specialist supports strategic sourcing initiatives focused on optimizing the total cost of ownership for clinical and non-clinical supplies, equipment, and services. Reporting to the Manager of Supply Chain, this role assists with sourcing projects and manages assigned activities across the supplier lifecycle, including supplier evaluation, negotiations, pricing analysis, and contract support, while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Healthcare Administration, or a related field, with 2 years of experience in healthcare supply chain procurement or sourcing; alternatively, a combination of high school diploma/college education and 6 years of related experience may be considered.
• Strong understanding of medical supplies, purchased services, and supplier management in a clinical environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate with teams.
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights.
• Solid negotiation skills and supplier management experience.
• Knowledge of sourcing methodologies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and ERP systems such as PeopleSoft.

Nice To Haves

• Certifications such as C.P.M., CRPM, or CPSM.
