Senior Manager - Strategic Programs

SharkNinjaMississauga, ON
$105,000 - $150,000Onsite

About The Position

SharkNinja's Product Development organization drives our global product roadmap from concept to shelf — and this role leads the strategic engine behind it. As Senior Manager, Global Product Strategy & Operations, you will own the PD organization's planning function: defining how we set strategic priorities, govern cross-functional decisions, and run the operating rhythm that keeps a complex, global product organization moving with speed and clarity. You will lead a team of strategy and operations professionals, partner directly with the PD leadership team, and serve as the connective tissue between Product Development and the rest of the business. This is not an advisory role — you will own the outcomes.

Requirements

  • 8–12 years of experience in strategy, strategic operations, or product strategy in a consumer products, technology, or management consulting environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and developing a team — people management is required, not a nice-to-have.
  • A track record of leading complex, cross-functional strategic initiatives from definition through delivery, with measurable outcomes.
  • Strong financial and analytical acumen — you build models, interpret results, and translate data into clear strategic recommendations without needing someone else to run the numbers.
  • Experience designing and running strategic planning processes for a large or complex organization.
  • Exceptional communication and influence skills — you can build alignment across senior leaders, simplify complexity without losing rigor, and present a compelling point of view.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments where the right answer often has to be figured out, not looked up.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AI tools, and data and financial analysis tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a consumer products or consumer electronics company, with exposure to product development or product management processes.
  • Background in management consulting, corporate strategy, or a high-growth consumer business.
  • A passion for building the operational infrastructure that lets great product teams do their best work.

Responsibilities

  • Own the annual and long-range strategic planning cycle for the Product Development organization, including the frameworks, timelines, and outputs that leadership and cross-functional partners rely on.
  • Lead the development of PD's short- and long-term strategic roadmaps in close partnership with the VP/SVP and PD leadership team.
  • Translate business strategy into actionable PD priorities — and ensure those priorities stay current as market conditions, consumer insights, and competitive dynamics evolve.
  • Lead and deliver the organization's highest-priority cross-functional strategic initiatives end-to-end, including new product and market opportunities, cost savings programs, and capability-building investments.
  • Define the approach for evaluating and sizing new opportunities — building the analytical and financial frameworks the team and leadership use to make go/no-go decisions.
  • Serve as the integration point across Product Development, Commercial, Finance, Supply Chain, and other functions on complex, multi-workstream programs.
  • Own the PD operating rhythm: leadership planning sessions, product roadmap governance, all-team communications, and executive stakeholder reviews.
  • Design and improve the governance structures — decision rights, escalation protocols, review cadences — that allow a large, cross-functional product organization to move quickly and consistently.
  • Ensure senior stakeholders have the right information, at the right time, in the right format to make high-quality decisions.
  • Lead, develop, and performance-manage a team of strategy and operations professionals, setting clear priorities, building capability, and holding the team accountable for outcomes.
  • Establish the standards and methodologies the team uses — for strategic analysis, initiative management, stakeholder communication, and planning facilitation.
  • Build the function's reputation as a high-trust, high-impact partner to PD leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Bring a strong point of view on consumer needs, white space in the market, and competitive dynamics — and use it to inform product strategy recommendations and leadership decision-making.
  • Partner with Consumer Insights, Brand, and Commercial teams to ensure PD's strategic priorities are grounded in real consumer evidence.
