This is a player-coach role combining financial and business acumen with planning systems expertise and finance transformation experience. The role remains hands-on with models and data while managing and developing analysts, owning the planning systems roadmap, and establishing scalable planning and reporting practices across FP&A. The company seeks someone who thrives in a fast-moving, high-growth environment and enjoys building durable infrastructure and developing the people who operate it.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience spanning strategic finance/FP&A and finance systems or finance transformation roles.
  • At least 2 years managing or formally developing analysts.
  • Strong financial and business acumen, including command of P&L mechanics, budgeting, forecasting, and the consolidation mechanics behind a company-wide planning cycle.
  • Hands-on experience implementing, administering, or owning an EPM/planning platform, including model design and integrations.
  • Demonstrated success leading a finance transformation initiative end-to-end, including standing up or materially scaling planning systems and automated reporting.
  • Ability to manipulate large datasets and translate them into clear, structured, decision-ready outputs.
  • Strong project management skills, including managing multiple workstreams simultaneously and delegating effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical audiences, from system administrators to the executive team.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a bias toward action in ambiguous, fast-changing environments.
  • Track record of leveraging AI and automation to improve finance workflows.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency with SQL and experience with BI tools such as Looker.
  • NetSuite or similar ERP integration experience.
  • Experience at a high-growth public company, such as one that recently completed an IPO, or a late-stage startup (Series C+) that has scaled through significant revenue and organizational growth.
  • Exposure to a public company’s external reporting cycle, including Board, Audit Committee, and earnings or guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, hire, and develop a team of 1–2 analysts working on finance transformation across finance and accounting, including planning systems, consolidation, and executive reporting.
  • Own the consolidated planning and reporting engine for the annual operating plan, long-range plan, and monthly and quarterly forecasts, including data intake, consolidation, timely delivery, and evolution into a scalable, system-based architecture.
  • Serve as the functional and technical owner of the financial planning platform, leading EPM tool evaluation and selection, design, implementation, enhancement, administration, and team enablement.
  • Own the planning systems roadmap, including prioritization, sequencing against the planning calendar, governance, change management, and communicating progress and trade-offs to Finance leadership.
  • Design data flows and integrations connecting the planning platform to the ERP, data warehouse, and BI stack, partnering with Accounting, Data Engineering, Data Science, and Analytics on architecture and data ownership.
  • Support executive-facing financial deliverables, including the Weekly Business Review, monthly OpEx review, and quarterly Board and Audit Committee materials; build dashboards and reporting that surface KPIs and business insights with minimal manual assembly.
  • Partner with category, marketing, and operations finance leads to standardize how inputs are gathered, pressure-tested, and consolidated into a corporate view.
  • Establish and enforce best practices for systems controls, data governance, and planning process documentation.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and equity compensation for full-time roles.
  • Unlimited PTO, company holidays, and quarterly mental health days.
  • Comprehensive health benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, and parental leave.
  • Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP).
  • 401(k) benefits with employer matching contribution.
  • Offsite team retreats.
