This role is responsible for setting the vision and roadmap for analytics, aligning priorities to company strategy and the most important decisions facing the business. The Senior Manager will build and lead a high-performing analytics function, coach team members, manage stakeholder intake, and prioritize work for impact. They will lead long-range and ad hoc analyses to uncover growth opportunities, risks, and business improvements, including customer retention and churn, purchase-path behavior, segmentation, marketing efficiency, and profitability. The role involves crafting clear narratives, recommendations, and executive-ready presentations that translate complex findings into action. Additionally, the Senior Manager will own and improve the self-service analytics environment in Looker, serve as a subject-matter expert on company data, partner with Data Engineering, and combine customer research with behavioral and financial data to influence priorities. They will also identify opportunities for predictive analytics and advanced modeling, develop and report company-wide KPIs, and bring a balanced point of view grounded in data, business context, and sound judgment. The role also involves grounding the data-driven financial model and planning cycle in accurate data, reviewing KPIs, quantifying the value of strategic initiatives, analyzing margin trends and profitability, monitoring ongoing performance, and working with leaders across various departments to frame questions, evaluate tradeoffs, and allocate resources.
