Senior Manager Statistical Programming
About The Position
At Regeneron, we use science and innovation to develop life-changing medicines for people with serious diseases. We are seeking a Senior Manager, Statistical Programming to join our Statistical Programming function, providing technical leadership across project teams within one or more therapeutic areas. In this role, you will drive high-quality programming deliverables from single studies through regulatory approval, product launch, and beyond, while collaborating with partnering functions, external service providers, and study teams. This position offers the opportunity to shape department strategy and mentor talent within a fast-growing, science-driven organization making a meaningful difference to patients worldwide.
Requirements
- Advanced SAS programming expertise in a clinical data environment
- Strong understanding of clinical trial principles and regulatory submission requirements
- Proven ability to lead global, cross-functional teams
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and priorities
- Demonstrated mentoring or coaching experience with junior programmers
- MS or BS in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Life Science, or a related discipline, with 10+ years (12+ for BS) of programming experience — preferably in clinical trial data within biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or health-related industries, including some project and people management experience
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of additional programming languages such as R or Python
Responsibilities
- Lead programming support across multiple studies, ensuring timely, high-quality deliverables
- Coordinate programming documentation and specifications, following established standards
- Champion company values through excellence, collaboration, and accountability
- Communicate proactively with study and project teams to clarify requirements and guide programmers
- Lead submission-ready programming deliverables for global regulatory authority filings
- Drive department goals and serve as a subject matter expert on key topics
- Guide the development of direct reports through goal-setting, coaching, and mentoring
- Contribute to hiring by screening and interviewing programming candidates
