About The Position

Join our dynamic Business Solutions Engineering Team, in the Senior Manager, Software Engineering position. In this leadership role, you’ll guide a team of talented technology specialists, fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and technical excellence. Reporting to the Director of Business Solutions Engineering, you’ll be instrumental in shaping software engineering practices, driving delivery excellence, and enabling impactful business outcomes.

Requirements

  • A university degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related field. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
  • A minimum of 10 years experience in the provision of technology solutions with at least five (5) years in leading a team.
  • Strong knowledge of modern architectures and ecosystems (SaaS, IaaS/PaaS, APIs, microservices, event-driven).
  • Experience delivering solutions using Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and tools like Azure DevOps.
  • Background in business management systems across finance, HR, procurement, and risk domains.
  • Proven expertise in end-to-end solution delivery, including architecture, planning, and estimation.
  • Experience building and supporting high-availability, 24/7 enterprise systems.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences in both French and English, and adapt to evolving technologies.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and SAP Success Factors platforms considered an asset.
  • Experience with web content management systems and Sitecore platform considered an asset.
  • Experience with the full range of Microsoft development tools and platform technologies, with experience in Azure being a strong asset.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the development, implementation and maintenance, on multiple technology platforms, of the assigned sectors business systems.
  • Responsible for large scale enterprise software solutions, including the implementation of comprehensive suites of purchased software and internally developed applications.
  • Leads, organizes, and coaches multiple teams of professional developers, sourced internally and externally.
  • Manages the seamless integration of internal resources and external partner resources to create a seamless one team approach/experience.
  • Provides leadership, guidance and expertise on technology and related services, to one or more business sectors of the Corporation.
  • Provides consulting services to key leaders of business areas to identify opportunities for the improvement of the business sectors operations and business activities.
  • Works in partnership with business stakeholders to understand business needs, priorities and objectives.
  • Represents IT as a proactive partner in providing innovative, flexible and cost-effective services that are valued by the clients.
