About The Position
The Senior Manager, Software Engineering leads platform-level execution of software and AI/ML systems, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and roadmap milestones. This role oversees shared infrastructure, DevOps architecture, and cloud cost optimization while driving the full software development lifecycle across multiple teams. The position requires strong technical leadership, stakeholder management, and a commitment to operational excellence. The successful candidate will foster innovation, guide architectural decisions, and ensure scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions that support business objectives and continuous improvement. The team drives the advancement of global transactional systems for Payments processing by designing and implementing scalable, cloud-native software solutions focused on reliability and operational excellence. Collaborating across disciplines, members deliver high-quality services integrating AI-powered automation to enhance user experience. Emphasizing technical leadership, continuous improvement, and mentorship, the team aligns strategic initiatives with business goals. Requirements
- Proven leadership in platform engineering, overseeing software and AI/ML system delivery aligned with strategic roadmaps and milestones.
- Expertise in managing full software development lifecycle, including DevOps architecture, CI/CD, and cloud cost optimization.
- Strong skills in stakeholder management, coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure seamless system integration and operational excellence.
- Experience mentoring engineers and fostering technical quality through rigorous testing, code reviews, and adherence to security standards.
- Ability to drive complex technical initiatives on time and within scope, balancing technical judgment with business objectives.
- Proficiency in project management, technology roadmaps, and software product management to deliver scalable, maintainable solutions.
- Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
- Option 2: 7 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
- 2 years’ supervisory experience.

- Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years' experience in software engineering or related area.

Responsibilities
- Lead platform-level execution of software and AI/ML systems, ensuring alignment with domain priorities and roadmap milestones.
- Oversee shared infrastructure, tooling, and ML frameworks to support scalable, secure development.
- Drive full software development lifecycle across multiple teams, championing DevOps architecture and CI/CD practices.
- Implement cloud cost optimization and enhance automation, telemetry, and tooling to improve reliability and efficiency.
- Mentor engineers, guide architectural decisions, and promote technical quality and compliance standards.
- Manage stakeholder relationships to align engineering efforts with business goals and track operational metrics.
- Foster continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, tools, and products.
