About The Position

Real Chemistry is looking for a Senior Manager, Social Media to join their growing Activation team. This role will focus on creating smart, platform-native social work that makes an impact for healthcare clients. The Social Media team at Real Chemistry combines deep healthcare expertise with sharp strategy, standout content, and data-driven execution to help clients effectively engage across various platforms. This is a hybrid role, open to candidates in any of their US offices (New York City, Boston, Chicago, Carmel, Lambertville, or San Francisco) or remotely within the US, with a primary focus on supporting east coast working hours. Candidates in other time zones may be considered if they can work east coast hours.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of social media experience, ideally in a regulated industry such as biotech, pharmaceutical or financial services.
  • 2–4 years of hands-on paid social experience, including setup, trafficking, optimization and performance reporting.
  • College degree required; BA or equivalent preferred.
  • Agency experience in a client-facing role preferred.
  • Understanding of FDA regulations guiding social media efforts for biotech and pharma clients preferred.
  • A strong command of major social platforms and a clear understanding of how audiences use them.
  • A proven ability to write, edit and publish short- and long-form social content.
  • Experience with social media buying platforms such as Meta Business Manager and LinkedIn Ads; Meta Blueprint or similar certifications are a plus.
  • Comfort using Canva, AI-enabled tools and Microsoft Office — especially PowerPoint — to improve speed, organization and output quality.
  • A highly organized, deadline-minded approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities with limited supervision.
  • Strong collaboration skills, with good judgment on when to raise questions, flag risks and bring others in.

Nice To Haves

  • Meta Blueprint or similar certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Help clients and internal teams connect the dots between organic and paid social within broader healthcare communications programs.
  • Turn platform best practices, cultural trends and healthcare requirements into smart, compliant recommendations clients can act on.
  • Support paid social from planning and setup through trafficking, optimization and performance reporting.
  • Use platform insights and campaign data to make the work sharper, smarter and more effective.
  • Write clear, compelling, platform-native copy for organic and paid social campaigns across channels.
  • Team up with creative partners to develop social-first content built for platform behavior, ad formats and audience needs.
  • Use AI tools and Canva to move faster — drafting, organizing, resizing, versioning and refining content with efficiency and care.
  • Keep brand, compliance and quality standards high while improving everyday workflow.
  • Be a trusted day-to-day social media partner across multiple healthcare accounts.
  • Keep work moving with thoughtful follow-ups, clear feedback tracking and strong next-step management.
  • Work closely across account, paid social, earned and digital media teams to bring integrated social programs to life.
