About The Position

The Senior Manager, Savings Initiatives leads retail savings growth, innovation, and delivery in support of client primacy and deposit growth priorities. This role focuses on optimizing and simplifying the product shelf to strengthen the value proposition through streamlined products, innovative features, and pricing enhancements.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education required
  • 5 years+ of relevant experience across retail financial products.
  • Exceptional business planning, product roadmap design, strategy development, analytical and execution skills.
  • Excellent relationship manager with demonstrated ability to seamlessly collaborate across multiple stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in delivering complex initiatives, with expert track record of delivering on time/budget.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
  • Strong financial acumen, analytical and market research skills
  • Thorough understanding of the business environment, including competitors and channels, particularly when it comes to retail banking channels
  • The ability to integrate diverse sources of information into tactical recommendations and plans (i.e. product, channel, marketings and customer)

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or Master’s degree in Business Administration or Marketing is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead Retail Savings initiatives across product growth, innovation & delivery
  • Develop new Savings product business cases & modelling to drive deposit growth & profitability
  • Monitor the competitive environment, key market forces & positioning for new Savings initiatives
  • Lead innovation for new Savings initiatives for enhancements in product features & pricing to heighten acquisition, engagement & retention
  • Define & track key KPIs on new Savings initiatives to meet our Deposit growth ambition
  • Collaborate with Retail Customer Growth, marketing & channel partners to drive client primacy, grow deposits & scale market share in priority markets
  • Develop go-to-market strategies including offers, marketing tactics & change management
  • Develop early month on book journey & engagement touchpoints in customer lifecycle
  • Promote continuous feedback cycle to evolve product innovation & tactics
  • Work closely with Analytics and Pricing & Portfolio Management to develop Savings profit plan projections and implications by assessing product demand, market and competitive factors, etc.
  • Collaborate with advanced analytic teams & external partners to develop best in class product features, pricing engine & campaigns that drives significant growth in acquisition & retention
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk
