About The Position

The Sr. Manager of Strategy & Analytics will work closely with the SVP of Client Development Sales revenue and Operations and the Head of Direct Client Development to optimize Mercer Advisors’ direct-to-consumer engine to achieve its ambitious client acquisition goals. Mercer Advisors is uniquely positioned within the RIA space to be an industry leader in digital marketing and sales, and this Director will play a crucial role in developing Mercer Advisors’ strategy through analytics. The Sr. Manager of Analytics must have a proven track record of overseeing marketing, sales, and customer analytics, leveraging data to drive performance across the funnel and informing strategic growth opportunities. Candidates should have experience leading both standardized reporting and leadership updates, as well as ad-hoc deep dive analyses to recommend opportunities for growth.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of marketing and sales analytical experience, ideally within financial services and/or industries with a multi-step sales funnel (i.e., lead generation via marketing to sales close) or experience in management consulting for marketing and sales.
  • High degree of proficiency and expertise within Salesforce, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, PowerBI, and paid media channels (Meta, Google, LinkedIn).
  • Very strong analytical problem-solving skills and data-driven decision-making.
  • Understanding of basic digital marketing measurement including A/B testing, incrementality testing, multi-touch attribution, and mix modeling.
  • Understanding of through-funnel sales performance measurement including cohort tracking and projections.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Detail-oriented, accurate, and with strong organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor under all circumstances and possess executive presence with senior leaders across the organization.
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks and prioritize deliverables.

Nice To Haves

  • Coding experience for data science preferred (Python, SQL, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Monitor performance across the funnel & analyze results
  • Track through-funnel performance with a view into campaign performance/spend and sales team performance/capacity, providing clear KPIs on a regular basis; proactively flag changes in performance and identify root causes.
  • Track the performance of specific initiatives aimed at driving growth (e.g., sales cadences/touchpoints, tools) via A/B testing, cohort analysis, etc.
  • Provide optimization recommendations & drive the learning agenda
  • Lead regular deep dives into areas of opportunity across both marketing and sales, e.g., analyzing the viability of new marketing channels, projecting the effectiveness of rolling out specific tools.
  • Conduct analysis of prospect data to drive recommendations for growth.
  • Identify areas for optimization in campaign or team performance and coordinate cross-functionally to assign owners and next steps; provide testing recommendations based on in-depth analysis.
  • Liaise cross-functionally and with executives
  • Drive analysis to inform executive readouts, focused on synthesizing opportunities to improve the health of the business based on both real-time (e.g., revenue closed in month) and projected indicators.
  • Syndicate with key business stakeholders as necessary to align on implications and action items.
  • Own channel reports and dashboard structure
  • Ensure data alignment across dashboards and data sources, i.e., Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, Google, Meta, LinkedIn, PowerBI; lead initiatives as needed to improve data governance.
  • Identify and implement fixes for errors in reporting/dashboards, both automated (PBI) and Excel-based in coordination with BI team.
  • Scope new views to build to inform strategic optimizations in coordination with finance and BI teams.
  • Drive the integration of advanced analytics techniques such as predictive modeling, machine learning, and advanced segmentation into the business.
