About The Position

Choice Hotels is seeking a Senior Manager of Revenue Management to lead the revenue management function for its Extended Stay Brands portfolio, including WoodSpring Suites, Suburban Studios, MainStay Suites, and Everhome Suites. This leadership role is responsible for building and developing a high-performing team of revenue management professionals while driving pricing excellence, portfolio performance, revenue system governance, and commercial ramp support for new hotel openings and conversions. As the segment’s revenue management subject matter expert, the Sr. Manager partners closely with Sales, Operations, Marketing, and Enterprise Revenue Management to optimize revenue strategy, strengthen owner outcomes, and advance the growth of the extended stay business. This role directly influences commercial strategy through analysis, process improvement, and cross-functional leadership. The position leads a team of revenue management professionals and operates with significant autonomy and organizational impact.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive revenue management experience within hospitality or lodging environments.
  • 3+ years of experience with extended stay lodging products, including pricing strategies, long length-of-stay optimization, weekly/monthly rate structures, and key extended stay demand segments.
  • 3+ years of people leadership experience with demonstrated success hiring, developing, coaching, and retaining revenue management professionals.
  • Experience working in franchise environments and/or with hotel management companies preferred.
  • Experience managing service delivery models, capacity planning, portfolio governance, or shared-service revenue management programs strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives and influencing organizational outcomes without direct authority.
  • Deep expertise in revenue management systems, with IDeaS G3 experience strongly preferred.
  • Advanced analytical capabilities, including pricing optimization, channel economics, displacement analysis, forecasting, and commercial performance diagnostics.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word.
  • Experience leveraging reporting tools, dashboards, and performance analytics to support business decisions.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience required.
  • MBA or progress toward an MBA preferred.
  • Certified Hospitality Revenue Manager (CHRM), Certified Revenue Management Executive (CRME), or ability to obtain required certification within an established period after hire.
  • Hospitality, business, finance, economics, analytics, or related discipline preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Build, lead, coach, and retain a high-performing extended stay revenue management team.
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop Revenue Managers and Senior Revenue Managers.
  • Establish performance expectations, conduct coaching and development activities, and support succession planning initiatives.
  • Lead calibration reviews, pricing strategy evaluations, and ongoing capability development programs.
  • Develop extended stay revenue management expertise across the team through structured training and certification pathways.
  • Own and continuously improve the segment’s revenue management coverage model.
  • Assign participating hotels to appropriate service tiers based on lifecycle stage, business needs, and operational priorities.
  • Forecast resource requirements and maintain staffing plans aligned to anticipated opening, conversion, and portfolio demand.
  • Monitor service levels and revenue management quality across assigned properties.
  • Serve as the primary revenue management subject matter expert for the Extended Stay segment.
  • Conduct portfolio-wide analyses to identify opportunities related to pricing, length-of-stay optimization, channel mix, booking behaviors, market share performance, and revenue realization.
  • Translate analytical findings into actionable commercial recommendations that drive business results.
  • Provide leadership input into annual planning processes, strategic initiatives, and commercial services evolution.
  • Establish and maintain standards for pricing strategies, rate architecture, displacement analysis, negotiated rate structures, and channel economics.
  • Lead governance of IDeaS G3 utilization, configuration standards, automation strategy, and exception management.
  • Ensure revenue management compliance, pricing integrity, and quality assurance processes across the portfolio.
  • Drive continuous improvement in automation, reporting, and revenue management best practices.
  • Integrate revenue management strategies within the segment’s commercial operating rhythm.
  • Support pricing strategy and revenue planning throughout the hotel lifecycle, from signed agreements through property stabilization.
  • Partner with onboarding, openings, sales, and operational teams to ensure successful hotel launches and conversions.
  • Participate in commercial performance reviews and cross-functional planning activities.
  • Maintain strong partnership with Enterprise Revenue Management regarding standards, methodologies, systems, reporting, and training.
  • Represent the extended stay business in revenue management system enhancements and process improvement initiatives.
  • Lead and participate in cross-functional projects that support organizational priorities and business growth.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
