About The Position

Responsible for the growth and nurturing of the west coast mid-large market client book in the retirement business. Accountable for growing lifetime value with existing clients, driving client satisfaction, delivering on sales goals, client retention & satisfaction and building commercial capabilities across the team.

Requirements

  • Eight years financial services experience with at least four years in a senior level client or prospect relationship role.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • This job requires a regulatory license and/or registration (e.g. FINRA, state, SFC). These will be determined by Compliance based on role-specific duties.

Responsibilities

  • Manages staff. Provides guidance, coaching, training, and motivation as necessary to develop staff.
  • Hires, evaluates, and counsels personnel.
  • Follows corporate disciplinary procedures per established Vanguard standards as required.
  • Sets performance standards, reviews performance, provides feedback and recommends wage increases/adjustments in accordance with all applicable Human Resources policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for the retention, satisfaction, and growth of clients within their assigned segment
  • Coaches crew to strategically navigate organizations, internally and externally, with a strong commercial orientation; deeply understands clients needs, types of buyers, & how to identify and drive growth opportunities forward
  • Lead senior and experienced direct reports and colleagues, while also holding the team accountable to high standards and developmental goals; holds crew and self accountable to financial targets
  • Responsible for setting a clear growth and retention strategy for assigned market segment
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned
