About The Position

The Senior Manager, Real Estate Technology & IT Construction is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering technology infrastructure across OCVIBE construction and real estate development projects. The role serves as the primary day-to-day technology liaison among Information Technology, Development, Business Operations, property management, architects, engineers, general contractors, consultants, system integrators, and technology vendors. The Senior Manager translates business and operational technology requirements into coordinated construction designs and oversees technology scope from design development through installation, commissioning, closeout, and operational turnover. The role manages multiple concurrent projects and is accountable for maintaining technology standards, schedules, budgets, quality, documentation, and alignment with OCVIBE’s mixed-use development objectives.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8–10 years of progressively responsible experience managing technology projects within real estate, mixed-use development, construction, entertainment, hospitality, or similarly complex environments
  • Strong experience developing, applying, and maintaining technology standards and Basis of Design documentation
  • Demonstrated project management expertise, including prioritizing work, managing resources, resolving issues, and delivering projects on time
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong analytical, problem-solving, presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Self-directed and adaptable, with the ability to define priorities, seek feedback, manage change, and perform effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Collaborative, intellectually curious, and team-oriented, with a low-ego, can-do approach that supports a culture of high performance

Responsibilities

  • Manage technology scope throughout design, construction, commissioning, closeout, and operational turnover for assigned projects
  • Maintain and apply OCVIBE technology standards, Basis of Design documentation, and design criteria; recommend updates for approval by IT leadership
  • Coordinate technology requirements with Development, Business Operations, property management, architects, engineers, general contractors, consultants, system integrators, and vendors
  • Review technology-related development plans, drawings, specifications, BIM coordination, submittals, shop drawings, and substitutions from schematic design through construction documents to verify completeness, technical accuracy, standards compliance, and alignment with operating requirements and approved program
  • Support bidding and construction through timely and complete review and response to IT-related RFIs, submittals, design clarifications, field conflicts, scope changes, and change orders; recommend approval or rejection in accordance with delegated authority
  • Serve as the IT lead for assigned technology scopes and the primary point of contact for IT-driven changes to plans and specifications during design and construction
  • Manage budgets for technology systems incorporated into assigned projects and track forecasts, commitments, schedules, dependencies, risks, and milestones to help maintain approved scope, schedule, and budget throughout the project lifecycle
  • Identify project risks, recommend corrective actions, and escalate matters with material financial, operational, security, schedule, quality, or district-wide impact
  • Oversee owner-furnished technology systems and coordinate both contractor-installed and owner-installed equipment
  • Perform site observations and verify that installations conform to approved designs, OCVIBE standards, manufacturer requirements, and project quality expectations
  • Coordinate testing, commissioning, punch-list resolution, training, as-built documentation, warranties, asset information, and turnover packages
  • Partner with cybersecurity, infrastructure, applications, and operations teams to ensure systems meet security, network, supportability, and operational requirements
  • Manage the day-to-day performance of consultants, contractors, vendors, and integrators, holding them accountable for scope, schedule, quality, documentation, and issue resolution
  • Support procurement activities, including bid evaluations, scope reviews, and vendor selection for assigned technology systems
  • Promote consistent project governance, documentation, safety awareness, and continuous improvement across the technology construction portfolio
