About The Position

This Research and Development role leads Cold Cuts Product Development initiatives within the Meats Team, specifically for Tub Tray and Mainstream Value Cold Cuts items in the Oscar Mayer portfolio for the North America Zone. The Senior Manager provides oversight and leadership for development and execution of projects across the Cold Cuts portfolio and manages a team of 3–5 direct reports. The role operates in a dynamic, cross-functional environment and requires strong communication and teamwork skills. The position leads and plans product development resourcing allocation and prioritization for the Cold Cuts portfolio, and provides leadership and management for product productivity delivery and pipeline development across the Meats portfolio. It works cross-functionally to set project goals and timelines and ensure the team delivers end-to-end goals. Travel is 15%, including visits to internal plants, co-manufacturers, and suppliers in the United States. The role is based at the Glenview R&D Center. The new-hire base salary range is $120,800–$151,000, and the position is eligible for a performance-based bonus. Compensation may vary based on geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other factors.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Meat Science, Food Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field.
At least 8 years of Product Development experience within CPG or an equivalent setting.
Strong understanding of subject matter such as ingredients, processing equipment, ingredient interactions, and food product laboratory test methods.
Self-motivated problem solver with the drive to deliver objectives in a complex environment.
Excellent communication, influencing, project management, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lead, coach, and motivate others.
Willingness to travel 15%.

Responsibilities

Manage a team of 3–5 direct reports.
