Job Summary We're looking for a Sr. Manager, Quality Assurance to lead the site Quality function and support safe, compliant, high-quality aerospace manufacturing and repair operations. This role provides leadership, direction, and coaching to ensure business goals are achieved while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, customer service, operational excellence, and employee development. The successful candidate will lead the full Quality organization — Quality Engineers, Quality Supervisors, Lab Technicians (Cal & Met Lab), NDT, Compliance, and Inspectors — while directing quality systems, driving regulatory compliance, and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 10+ years of aerospace or industrial gas turbine engineering, manufacturing, repair, or quality leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated success leading large teams across multiple organizational levels.
  • Strong knowledge of AS9100 and aerospace regulatory requirements, including FAA, EASA, and CAAC.
  • Proven experience driving organizational performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Expertise in root cause analysis, corrective action systems, and quality management principles.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects within complex manufacturing or MRO environments.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE), Six Sigma Black Belt, or similar certification
  • Proven leadership experience in multi-site aerospace manufacturing or MRO operations
  • Bilingual English and Spanish proficiency
  • Experience implementing advanced inspection technologies, automation, or digital quality systems
  • Experience developing and monitoring complex project budgets, resource needs, and timelines

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a multi-level Quality organization including Quality Engineers, Supervisors, Compliance, NDT, Laboratory Operations, and Inspection teams.
  • Establish quality objectives, policies, and performance expectations that drive accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Own and continually improve the site's Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with AS9100, FAA, EASA, CAAC, and customer requirements.
  • Lead internal audits, corrective action programs, escape management investigations, and root cause analysis efforts.
  • Partner with Operations and Engineering to improve product quality, process capability, and operational performance.
  • Drive implementation of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other operational excellence methodologies.
  • Lead customer and regulatory interactions, audits, and quality reviews.
  • Develop supplier quality strategies and oversee supplier qualification and performance.
  • Analyze quality metrics and trends to identify risks, drive improvements, and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Provide strategic leadership for new product introduction, process validation, inspection technologies, and continuous improvement initiatives
