•$129,900 - $185,600•Hybrid

About The Position

Tubi is looking for a Senior Manager, Publicity to help lead publicity across its distinct slate of Tubi Originals, including movies, series, and creator-led content. The role requires an experienced entertainment publicist who understands traditional publicity methods and can also innovate with new strategies. The ideal candidate will develop earned strategies that turn titles, talent, and creators into cultural moments by identifying compelling stories, audience insights, or unique ideas that extend beyond a traditional launch cycle. This individual should be comfortable interacting with talent and their representatives, industry events, and strategic planning sessions for unconventional ideas. The role demands deep entertainment relationships, excellent talent instincts, and a broad view of publicity that includes creators, fandoms, internet culture, and emerging trends in entertainment. Collaboration with Content, Creator, Integrated Marketing, and International teams, as well as talent, creators, representatives, producers, and external agency partners, is essential. This is a hybrid role based in Los Angeles or New York City, requiring 2-3 days per week in the office.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of entertainment publicity and communications experience, with significant experience across streaming, television, film, and/or creator-led entertainment.
  • Deep relationships across the entertainment ecosystem, including media, talent, representatives, producers, and industry partners.
  • Exceptional talent-relations instincts and significant experience advising, preparing, and staffing senior executives and talent at major industry moments.
  • Proven ability to develop publicity campaigns that earn attention beyond the traditional entertainment publicity cycle.
  • Strong cultural instincts and genuine curiosity about creators, fandom, internet culture, and the evolving landscape of entertainment discovery and conversation.
  • Ability to navigate fluidly between Hollywood conventions and broader culture, understanding industry norms without being limited by them.
  • Excellent judgment and the confidence to counsel senior stakeholders in high-pressure or ambiguous situations.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience leading agencies and managing or mentoring junior team members.
  • Strategic thinker with a passion for ideas and a rigorous approach to execution.
  • Asks “why would anyone care?” before “what’s the press plan?"

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead publicity strategies across Tubi Originals, including movies, series, and creator-led content, from early positioning through launch and beyond.
  • Identify the core idea for each campaign: the audience truth, cultural conversation, or earned hook that can make a title or creator significant beyond its launch on Tubi.
  • Build campaigns that integrate strong entertainment publicity fundamentals with innovative earned media ideas, fan engagement, creator/cultural partnerships, and opportunities outside traditional entertainment media.
  • Lead talent relations strategy for Tubi’s slate, collaborating closely with talent, creators, representatives, and producers, serving as a trusted partner in all situations.
  • Represent Tubi and support creative executives and talent at key industry and cultural events, including awards, festivals, premieres, and other high-profile occasions.
  • Lead media strategy across entertainment, culture, consumer, creator economy, and other relevant sectors, maintaining existing relationships and expanding the network of voices that can amplify Tubi's stories.
  • Work closely with Tubi’s Creator team to develop publicity approaches that acknowledge creators as independent media ecosystems and communities.
  • Partner with Content, Creator, Brand, and Social teams to identify ideas that can originate in publicity but extend across channels, or vice versa.
  • Identify conversations, emerging talent, fandom behavior, and cultural shifts early enough for Tubi to engage meaningfully.
  • Provide counsel to senior executives, talent, and creators with confidence and sound judgment, especially in sensitive or rapidly evolving situations.
  • Lead external publicity agencies, defining clear strategies and encouraging innovative tactics and media outreach.
  • Develop clear messaging, briefing materials, press materials, and prepare executives/talent for media interactions.
  • Manage and mentor junior members of the Publicity team, enhancing the creative and strategic output of the function.
