About The Position
The Senior Manager of Publications leads works closely with the Director of pubs to support the strategic development and operational execution of global publication plans while ensuring strict compliance with GPP, ICMJE, and industry standards of assigned DA. You will be responsible for day to day execution of publications with management of publication systems, vendor budgets, and cross-functional partnerships for assigned DA to deliver high-quality, audit-ready scientific communications. You will proactively identify risks and make recommendations to the Directors on operational execution and compliance related elements.
Requirements
- Extremely savvy with publication management system.
- Proficiency with MS Office suite (including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Collaborative and solution-oriented with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities
- Partners with cross functional team and under supervision of Director support the creation of pub plan.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of publications and assist stakeholders in navigating the publication management system.
- Ensure operational execution of publications in compliance with standard operating procedures, guidelines, and industry standards and assist with improving operational efficiency in DA.
- Creates training and training materials for all relevant pubs systems and processes.
- Ensure all publications of assigned DA follow good publication practices and all publications of assigned DA are always audit ready and escalates to Director as appropriate.
- Generate metrics for respective DA and suggest operational improvements.
- Represent Global pubs at strategic meetings for respective DA and escalate to Director as appropriate.
- Responsible for vendor management for respective DA including budget management and invoice tracking.
- Follow and stay abreast of updates to publication-related guidelines including but not limited to International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICJME), Good Publication Practice (GPP), CONSORT Guidelines, American Medical Association (AMA) Manual of Style, and Council of Biology Editors.
