About The Position

The Ohio Children's Alliance fosters a brighter future for Ohio's children and families through advocacy, innovation, and collaboration with health and human services organizations. We are seeking a strategic, collaborative, and results-driven leader to serve as Senior Manager, Programs. This full-time position will be responsible for the leadership and oversight of a portfolio of Ohio Children's Alliance programs and initiatives, including Behavioral Health Respite. This role is ideal for a professional with strong program management expertise, the ability to connect day-to-day operations to broader organizational goals, and a passion for improving outcomes for children and families. Reporting to the Senior Director of Programs, the Senior Manager, Programs will oversee program planning, implementation, and continuous quality improvement while supporting staff development and ensuring effective use of resources. The ideal candidate brings advanced communication, project management, and problem-solving skills; works effectively both independently and collaboratively; and uses data, performance measures, and strategic insight to guide decisions. This leader will build strong internal and external partnerships, coach and support team members, anticipate challenges and opportunities, and help advance organizational effectiveness, innovation, and mission-driven impact across programs and initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 3+ years of behavioral health, child welfare, or social service management experience

  • Strong time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks

  • High Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 products (Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Copilot)

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of assigned programs or initiatives; develop and oversee work plans, timelines, and performance metrics; manage resources and budgets; and use data to strengthen program quality, efficiency, and long-term sustainability.
  • Supervise and support assigned staff through coaching, feedback, performance management, and professional development; foster an inclusive, accountable team culture; and delegate work in ways that promote clarity, productivity, and growth.
  • Contribute to long-range planning and organizational alignment by identifying emerging needs, risks, and opportunities; lead change efforts; and ensure program strategies, workflows, and priorities support the Alliance's mission, values, and strategic direction.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, community partners, funders, government agencies, and other stakeholders; represent the organization in meetings and collaborative initiatives; and communicate clearly through presentations, reports, and cross-sector engagement.
  • Develop and refine procedures, documentation, and reporting practices that support compliance, transparency, and effectiveness; develop and monitor KPIs and outcomes; and apply continuous quality improvement strategies to address challenges and strengthen performance over time.
