Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/medtech The Senior Manager, Professional Education US Animal Health leads the strategy and execution of educational initiatives that advance clinical adoption, customer capability, and brand differentiation across the U.S. Animal Health business. This role is responsible for designing and delivering a comprehensive professional education program that includes hands-on training, peer-to-peer education, key opinion leader engagement, symposiums, conferences, advisory boards, and educational content aligned to customer needs and business priorities. The Sr Manager partners closely with Marketing, Key Account Management, Medical Affairs, R&D, Compliance, and external faculty to create high-quality learning experiences that support safe and effective product use and strengthen customer relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in professional education, commercial training, marketing, medical devices, animal health, healthcare, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability, including the ability to influence cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Track record of success working within a matrix organizational environment and collaborating effectively across commercial, medical, and functional teams.
  • Demonstrated project management and operational excellence with the ability to manage budgets, timelines, and multiple concurrent programs.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Business, Marketing, Education, Life Sciences, Veterinary, or a related field preferred
  • Advanced degree preferred
  • Experience developing and executing customer-facing education programs, events, or training curricula is required; experience in hands-on procedural education is preferred
  • Experience working with key opinion leaders, external faculty, vendors, or event partners to deliver educational initiatives is preferred
  • Strong understanding of customer learning needs, adult learning principles, and educational program effectiveness measurement is preferred
  • Strong business acumen and ability to use metrics and insights to assess program impact and inform decisions are preferred
  • People leadership experience is preferred; demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop talent is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead the U.S. Animal Health professional education strategy and annual plan in alignment with commercial priorities, customer needs, and portfolio growth objectives
  • Design, implement, and optimize educational programs including hands-on labs, wet labs, peer-to-peer events, advisory boards, symposiums, and conference-based learning experiences
  • Partner with Marketing, Key Account Management, and cross-functional stakeholders to identify educational gaps and develop programs that accelerate product adoption and customer proficiency
  • Build and manage relationships with external faculty, key opinion leaders, and training partners to deliver credible, high-impact educational experiences
  • Own program planning and operational execution, including budget management, event logistics, training calendars, vendor coordination, and resource allocation
  • Develop educational materials and learning pathways that support safe and effective product use, clinical confidence, and consistent message delivery across customer segments
  • Measure program effectiveness using defined KPIs and feedback loops, and ensure all activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and Johnson & Johnson policies, including the HCC program and Business Code of Conduct
