About The Position

Clio is seeking a Senior Manager, Product Design to lead design for its Fintech team and join its growing Product Design organization. The role is open to candidates across the United States and Canada, excluding Quebec, with a preference for Toronto. Employees located near the Burnaby, Calgary, or Toronto hubs are expected to work in the office at least twice per week on designated Anchor Days. The role includes occasional travel, averaging approximately six trips per year, and is a backfill for an existing position. The Senior Manager will lead a team of 4–5 product designers responsible for payments, billing and invoicing, and timekeeping. Reporting to the Product Design Director, this person will set design strategy and guide execution from discovery and opportunity framing through launch and iteration. The role partners closely with Product and Engineering to establish vision, align teams, coach designers, and improve the quality and impact of their work. A key focus is making financial workflows faster, simpler, and more automated for law firms, including bringing automation and AI into timekeeping. Clio's Fintech team serves law firms ranging from solo practitioners to mid-market firms. Its work supports how firms track time, bill for work, and collect payments, helping legal professionals spend less time managing invoices and more time serving clients. The design leader will build an understanding of these customers' workflows and constraints and help create coherent, accessible experiences across connected products.
