Reporting to the Director of Analytics – Procurement & Financial Shared Services, the Sr Manager, Procurement Operations & Advancement will lead a team of analysts responsible for overseeing global procure to invoice processes and implementing best practices to ensure efficiency, accuracy and compliance. This role will manage the execution and continuous improvement of user onboarding, training and support, supplier onboarding, catalog management, and process and program compliance. The Vail Resorts Sr Manager, Procurement Operations & Advancement will drive value by focusing on customer service, process standardization, resource efficiency, compliance management and technology enablement. This role will be essential in partnering with cross-functional stakeholders including Source to Pay, IT, Finance, and Operations in order to drive global process improvement and value capture initiatives.

Requirements

  • B.A. or B.S. in Supply Chain, Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain, with demonstrated success in continuous improvement and process optimization.
  • 3+ years leadership/management experience leading a high performing team
  • Strong verbal and written communication with the ability to connect and build relationships with stakeholders
  • Working knowledge of best-in-class P2P systems and processes
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with strong initiative and balancing multiple projects
  • Experience with project management and process improvement
  • Technical aptitude and experience working with Procurement systems (e.g., Coupa)
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.)
  • Demonstrated learning agility and thought-leadership as business needs change and increase in complexity

Responsibilities

  • Manage and improve the global Coupa Requisition to Invoice processes at Vail Resorts.
  • Lead strategic initiatives with high visibility, leveraging strong cross-functional collaboration and implementation of best- in-class procurement systems and processes.
  • Coordinate with enterprise-wide, cross-functional teams to address the need for changes to processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform data-driven root cause analysis to drive P2P process compliance improvements and procurement decisions.
  • Expand Vail Resorts’ buying channels and enforce compliance and appropriate usage of systems and processes.
  • Maintain rigorous SOX controls for supplier onboarding and procurement processes.
  • Inspire trust and build strong, positive, productive relationships with key business stakeholders including internal teams and external partners.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement operations team instilling a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence.
  • Monitor supplier performance and Coupa configuration to ensure the realization of negotiated savings/value opportunities.
