About The Position

Marana Health is seeking a Senior Manager, Practice Operations to join the Operations team at the Marana Main Health Center, located in the heart of Marana, AZ. The Senior Manager, Practice Operations supports day-to-day operational execution across assigned clinics and provides coaching, guidance, and oversight to Practice Managers. This role is responsible for implementation of approved workflows, monitoring site-level performance, supporting consistency across locations, and elevating risks and recommendations to executive leadership. The role is responsible for operational execution across assigned locations and does not retain enterprise-wide authority for organizational strategy, policy, or final budget approval. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Health Services Administration, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience supervising leaders or managers
  • Experience managing multi-site operations or large, complex healthcare environments
  • Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
  • Fingerprint Clearance Card through the Arizona Department of Public Safety
  • Current Arizona driver’s license with clean driving record and proof of current vehicle insurance (39-month MVR required)

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Health Services Administration, or related field
  • Experience in Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or primary care environment
  • Experience in budget planning, financial analysis, and operational forecasting
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, PDSA)
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered if applicable and must be directly related to the functions and body of knowledge required to successfully perform the job.
  • Thorough knowledge of healthcare operations, including integrated care delivery models
  • Strong understanding of clinic operations, patient flow, scheduling, access, customer service, and front-end operational processes
  • Ability to analyze operational, service, productivity, and quality data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards related to healthcare operations (e.g., CMS, HRSA, state and local regulations)
  • Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to develop and lead high-performing teams
  • Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to engage diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing organizational needs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and healthcare systems, including EHR platforms
  • Knowledge of process improvement principles and ability to implement operational efficiencies

Responsibilities

  • Oversees daily operations across assigned health centers, ensuring efficient workflows, high-quality patient care, and compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements
  • Provides leadership and direction to Practice Managers and site leadership, including coaching, mentoring, performance management, and development of leadership capabilities
  • Monitors site-level operational, service, access, and productivity metrics and partners with site leadership to identify performance gaps, root causes, and corrective action plans
  • Supports consistent implementation of organizational priorities, approved initiatives, and operational expectations across assigned clinics
  • Reviews operational and productivity data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities and prepares practical recommendations for performance improvement.
  • Escalates significant operational concerns, resource constraints, compliance risks, and unresolved site issues to executive leadership in a timely manner
  • Collaborates with clinical, finance, human resources, quality, and other departments to ensure alignment of operations with organizational priorities
  • Provides site-level operational input into budget development, staffing discussions, and forecasting processes; monitors expense and productivity trends and elevates concerns or recommendations as appropriate
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as accreditation and licensing requirements
  • Identifies and implements process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, patient experience, and care delivery outcomes
  • Assists change management initiatives and ensures adoption of new programs, workflows, and systems across assigned sites
  • Maintains effective communication between sites and executive leadership, providing regular updates on performance, risks, and opportunities
  • Participates in organizational committees, projects, and initiatives as a representative of operations
  • Ensures appropriate staffing models are in place and supports workforce planning in collaboration with human resources and leadership
  • Oversees facility operations, including coordination with maintenance and vendors to ensure safe and functional environments
  • Promotes a culture of accountability, collaboration, service excellence, and continuous improvement across all assigned sites
