About The Position

Lead a new software engineering team building the platform for Agentic Service Engineering across OCI. The team will create systems, workflows, service context, and safety controls that help engineers and AI agents understand services, automate repeatable work, safely make and validate changes, and improve production reliability. The role sets technical and delivery direction, hires and develops a Nashville-based engineering team, and partners with OCI service owners to turn fragmented operational knowledge and manual processes into reusable capabilities. Success is measured by delivering practical AI-enabled engineering solutions that reduce operational toil, improve service resilience, and make OCI services easier and less costly to evolve and operate. The role leads multiple platform teams that standardize middleware patterns and client libraries for consumer teams. It establishes group-level guardrails for APIs and SDKs, deprecation strategies, and upgrade playbooks; tracks adoption and risk; sponsors shared observability frameworks and capacity models; and reviews error-budget posture and corrective actions. It provides technical leadership across software design, testing, optimization, architecture, customer issue resolution, security and compliance, and development operations. The Senior Manager also oversees cross-team planning and execution, collaboration, complex problem solving, continuous learning and improvement, and performance and talent development. The role manages multiple medium- to large-scale initiatives, aligns priorities with business needs, coaches employees, and leads talent acquisition activities.
