About The Position

The Senior Manager, Planning – Americas is a critical role that serves as a centralized planning resource for the Infrastructure Solutions business unit in conjunction with other Americas product businesses. This role is responsible for driving alignment across the Power, Thermal, and IT Systems businesses vis-à-vis the Infrastructure Solutions needs. It will ensure priorities, plans, and execution activities are coordinated in support of the region's growth, operational effectiveness, and customer engagement objectives. Reporting to the Senior Director, Strategy and Integration - Americas, this leader will act as the critical planning node and project manager for unified engagement across the Americas. The role will establish planning rhythms, coordinate cross-functional workstreams, and connect business priorities across Infrastructure Solutions, Sales, Operations, Finance, Product, and regional business units. This individual will help synchronize planning, execution, operating reviews, and internal governance processes so that the Power, Thermal, and IT Systems teams operate with greater visibility, consistency, and speed across the Americas. This role is ideal for a strategic, highly organized individual who excels at connecting teams, structuring complex initiatives, and driving execution across a matrixed organization. The successful candidate will bring strong planning discipline, cross-functional influence, and project management capability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; Master's degree in Engineering or Business Administration is preferred.
  • 10-12 years of experience in business planning, strategy, operations, program management, or related leadership roles, preferably within critical infrastructure, industrial technology, or a similarly complex matrixed environment.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional planning efforts and influence senior leaders across multiple businesses, functions, and geographies.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive a detailed management cadence on longer-term business requirements and critical ad hoc project management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate plans and strategies to senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing market conditions.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to act as a general manager for the products being covered.
  • Technical expertise to translate stakeholder needs and pain points into solutions.
  • Able to combine long-term and short-term goals by setting priorities.
  • Language skills: fluent in English (written and verbal).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, Smartsheet, and other business applications.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the critical planning resource for the Infrastructure Solutions business unit in the Americas, integrating priorities, timelines, and dependencies across the Power, Thermal, and IT Systems businesses in the Americas.
  • Work directly with the Americas Power, Thermal, and IT Systems teams to plan and execute the necessary capacity planning and production efforts to satisfy the needs of the Americas Infrastructure Solutions business.
  • Act as the critical planning node and project manager for unified Infrastructure Solutions engagement from the other Americas Business Units, coordinating cross-business initiatives from planning through execution.
  • Partner with Infrastructure Solutions, Sales, Operations, Finance, Product Management, and other stakeholders to ensure proper planning and execution.
  • Develop governance mechanisms that provide visibility into initiative progress, interdependencies, and business priorities across Power, Thermal, and IT Systems for large Infrastructure Solutions orders.
  • Establish and manage the operating cadence for planning reviews, leadership updates, and cross-functional decision forums to ensure alignment on objectives, milestones, risks, and actions.
  • Translate strategic priorities into coordinated regional plans, ensuring business leaders and functional partners are aligned on execution requirements, resource needs, and delivery expectations.
  • Monitor execution against commitments and recommend adjustments to plans, sequencing, or stakeholder engagement to support a more unified and effective Infrastructure Solutions, Power, Thermal, and IT Systems operating model.
