Position Summary Will lead a centralized team of paralegals to deliver consistent, scalable, and high-quality legal support across the enterprise. Is responsible for optimizing workload allocation, service levels, technology, and process excellence for the legal department of a public company.

Requirements

  • Deep practical knowledge of corporate paralegal functions in a public company environment.
  • Strong understanding of corporate governance and entity management, contract lifecycle support, regulatory, and compliance documentation.
  • Proficiency with standard legal tools and document management systems.
  • Excellent written communication, documentation, and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated organizational understanding and vision.
  • Operationally minded, with a focus on performance and quick course correction.
  • Proven track record in people development and team leadership.
  • Client-centric with a global perspective.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Paralegal certification or equivalent preferred.
  • 10+ years of relevant paralegal experience, with 5+ years in a leadership role in a corporate or public company environment.
  • Experience managing and developing teams in a shared services or matrixed environment.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a centralized team of paralegals functioning as a shared resource across multiple legal practice areas.
  • Serve as the primary point of coordination for paralegal support requests across the legal department.
  • Oversee the consistent, accurate, and timely execution of paralegal work, ensuring quality and completeness.
  • Review and approve work product and ensure alignment with legal and business objectives.
  • Act as a trusted partner to attorneys, understanding practice-specific needs and preferred working styles.
  • Collaborate with Legal Operations, IT, and Compliance teams to communicate paralegal needs related to tools, processes, and support adoption of new systems or workflows.
  • Drive process and data discipline, building effective teams and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
