About The Position

As a Sr. Manager, Operations – Inventory Accuracy, you’ll lead high-impact operational initiatives that improve inventory accuracy, productivity, and execution across Walmart stores. You’ll partner with Operations, Product, Engineering, Data Science, Merchandising, and Field teams to develop scalable solutions that enhance inventory health, reduce waste, improve associate productivity, and strengthen the customer experience. This role combines operational leadership, analytical thinking, and technology enablement to drive transformation initiatives including ISA capabilities, AI-driven inventory solutions, and next-generation operational platforms that support Walmart’s evolving store operations strategy. Our team drives operational excellence across Walmart’s store network by improving inventory accuracy, replenishment execution, and store productivity through data-driven strategies and innovative technology solutions. We partner cross-functionally with Operations, Product, Engineering, Data Science, Supply Chain, and Field leadership teams to identify opportunities, solve complex operational challenges, and implement scalable solutions that improve execution and efficiency. We are focused on continuous improvement, leveraging advanced analytics, automation, AI capabilities, and emerging technologies to create measurable business impact while supporting Walmart’s mission to help people save money and live better.

Requirements

  • Experience leading complex operational initiatives focused on inventory management, process optimization, productivity improvement, or store operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to query and interpret operational data and translate insights into actionable business strategies.
  • Ability to partner effectively with cross-functional stakeholders including Operations, Product, Engineering, Data Science, Merchandising, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Experience driving large-scale implementations, operational transformations, or technology-enabled business solutions.
  • Knowledge of inventory accuracy processes, replenishment execution, operational metrics, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Comfort working in fast-paced environments while managing multiple priorities, projects, and stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence decisions and drive alignment across teams.
  • Experience leveraging dashboards, reporting tools, and operational scorecards to monitor performance and improve execution.
  • Passion for innovation, operational excellence, and using emerging technologies and analytics to improve business outcomes.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams while fostering an inclusive and collaborative work environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations, or related field and 3 years’ experience in operations, project management, or related area OR 5 years’ experience in operations, project management, or related area.
  • 1 year’s supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead operational initiatives focused on inventory accuracy, store execution, productivity improvement, and process optimization across Walmart stores.
  • Drive execution of projects and operational programs by managing timelines, tracking progress, and ensuring successful implementation of scalable solutions.
  • Use operational data, analytics, and field insights to identify trends, solve store-level challenges, and influence strategic business decisions.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Data Science teams to support the roadmap for ISA capabilities and future inventory accuracy systems.
  • Act as the business lead and operational subject matter expert for emerging technology initiatives including AI, Computer Vision, automation, predictive analytics, and next-generation operational platforms.
  • Develop and implement operational scorecards, dashboards, and reporting tools to monitor execution, improve accountability, and drive measurable business results.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce inefficiencies, optimize labor, improve inventory flow, and enhance associate workflows through continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Merchandising, Supply Chain, Operations, Product Management, and Field teams to design and implement scalable operational solutions.
  • Drive multiple business plans and strategic priorities by removing execution barriers, aligning stakeholders, and supporting operational transformation initiatives.
  • Lead and develop high-performing teams by mentoring associates, establishing clear expectations, fostering collaboration, and promoting continuous learning and operational excellence.
