About The Position

American Cruise Lines is a rapidly growing, nationwide company that is seeking a responsible and detailed orientated Senior Manager of Supply Chain Logistics to be based in our Essex, CT warehouse. We seek a goal-oriented and driven person to oversee a developing warehouse system for a company in accelerated growth mode. This person is responsible for maintaining efficiency and accuracy in the supply chain process from the main warehouse to vessels. This Senior Manager will also work alongside the Purchasing Team to ensure inventories are managed properly. The person must have experience implementing, executing, and maintaining Warehouse Management Systems and Shipping Management Systems. The position will be contributing to the growth of a critical business function with high visibility. This role reports to the Director of Procurement and will have the opportunity to make recommendations to senior management for efficiency and process improvements. Requirements

  • 5–10 years of experience with warehouse management systems in large distribution environments (e.g., Amazon, UPS, or similar).
  • Strong Supply Chain and Distribution knowledge from end to end processing of shipments.
  • Sense of urgency with all tasks.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Highly motivated.
  • Travel required up to 25%.
  • Ability to lift 55 pounds.
  • Ability to solve problems.
  • Monday through Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm and off hours as required.
  • Must have a valid motor vehicle license.
  • Forklift experience/certification
  • Must be located within commutable distance of Essex, CT.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strong leadership to three warehouse locations across the US with multiple direct reports.
  • Lead the implementation of supply chain software in the warehouse and onboard vessels.
  • Support the Managers of Inventories and Logistics in their daily functions.
  • Ensure that shipments sent from the warehouse to the vessels are tracked.
  • Confirm/communicate tracking of outgoing shipments.
  • Ensure receipt of shipment to vessel.
  • Confirm inventories onboard and in warehouse.
  • Take ownership of the process and resolve issues that may arise to ensure completion of shipments within a strict timeframe.
  • Work with Manager of Inventory and Purchasing department to ensure proper restocking for the main warehouse and two other ancillary warehouses.
  • Maintain efficiencies throughout the supply chain from inventories, shipments, and restocking.
  • Generate inventory and shipping reports.
