Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a precision CNC machining environment, preferably in aerospace, medical, or semiconductor sectors.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related technical field.
  • Proven leadership in CNC programming, machining support, and process improvement.
  • Strong understanding of G-code, CAM software, tooling, and multi-axis machining.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other structured improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and operational teams.
  • Communications - Exhibits good listening and comprehension.
  • Business Acumen - Understands business implications of decisions; displays orientation to profitability; demonstrates knowledge of market and competition. Aligns work with strategic goals.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have an understanding of Microsoft Office Software- especially knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee will be in the office and shop and required to sit, stand and walk.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the CNC Programming team, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and technical excellence.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on throughput, process stability, and technical problem-solving.
  • Provide technical support to machining partnering closely with Process Engineering and Quality.
  • Establish and maintain programming standards, tooling strategies, and process documentation.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Program Management to support quoting, NPI, and prototype development.
  • Maintain dotted-line alignment with CNC Leads to ensure shop-floor execution matches programming intent.
  • Act as a technical anchor for operations.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives in automation, digital work instructions, and process control.
