Cisco is seeking a Senior Manager to build and lead an enterprise Infrastructure Efficiency and Capacity Management practice covering compute, accelerated compute (GPU/TPU), storage, and Cloud/PaaS/Kubernetes platforms. The practice will connect workload demand, usable capacity, hardware lifecycles, and unit economics to inform strategic investment and allocation decisions for senior leadership. The role leads an independent, highly analytical organization that turns infrastructure telemetry into decision-ready recommendations while partnering with platform and service owners who retain architectural and operational delivery responsibilities. The Senior Manager will establish and direct an engineering and analytics organization responsible for infrastructure planning, workload placement, and lifecycle economics. The role implements evidence-based decision frameworks for hardware investments, cloud commitments, and data center expansions using disciplined forecasting and total cost of ownership (TCO) modeling. It bridges platform engineering and financial accountability to support reliable, secure, and efficient global infrastructure scaling. The preferred location is San Jose, California, or North Carolina, under a hybrid work model. Flexible U.S.-based hybrid arrangements may be considered for the right candidate.
