About The Position

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field.
Strong technical proficiency across Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Power BI (or comparable cloud data platform and BI tools).
Experience with SQL and data modeling; working knowledge of ETL/ELT design and data governance practices.

Nice To Haves

5-8 years of progressive experience in data engineering, business intelligence, or data analytics is preferred.
2+ years in a formal leadership or team management capacity is preferred.
Led the streamlining and modernization of data architecture, including evaluating, planning, and implementing platforms as part of the platform strategy is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage the hiring, development, coaching, and performance of Data & Analytics Team Members.
Guide the team to the evolution of the organization's data stack and champion the team's work with peer IT and business leaders.
Lead the streamlining and modernization of data architecture, including evaluating, planning, and implementing platforms as part of the strategy.
Ensure technical recommendations account for the current data architecture, safeguard data integrity, and support reliable business decision-making rather than one-off fixes.
Build and manage project plans, timelines, and delivery milestones for data engineering, BI, and architecture modernization initiatives.
Identify knowledge gaps and help internal and external stakeholders understand the complexities of the company’s data solutions, working collaboratively to design, deploy, and support solutions that meet stakeholder needs.
Build and execute plans to meet the evolving needs of the organization and its customers and strategic partners.
Act as a trusted advisor across departments, and other business stakeholders, translating business questions into data and reporting solutions.
Establish and enforce data governance, quality, and integrity standards across the team's engineering and reporting deliverables.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
