About The Position

We’re looking for an experienced marketing manager who is highly creative, nimble and rigorous marketer with a passion for beauty, a talent for storytelling and a knack for wearing multiple hats to join our Brand Marketing team. The Senior Manager of Brand + Interactive Marketing will play a key role alongside the Sr. Director of Brand Marketing + Global Communications and VP of E-Commerce in developing + implementing effective go-to-market strategies across 5 categories (face, body, hair, personal + home fragrances). You will be responsible for collaborating with department leadership to bring all our marketing programs to life, including new product launches, promotions and brand campaigns, helping to drive awareness of, demand for and engagement with our brand and products across all communication channels. As a key member of the marketing team, you will be responsible for briefing the cross-functional teams, setting deadlines and deliverables, and ensuring we tell our story in the (MALIN+GOETZ) brand voice, consistently and cohesively, everywhere we show up. You will be expected to have a deep understanding of the brand’s overall business objectives, global nuances, and a clear appreciation for the critical role of effective brand marketing management in supporting the company’s growth. You are a self-starter, detail-oriented and a problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment, works well under pressure, and is as interested in storytelling as you are in analytics. You are knowledgeable and passionate about the industry and have your finger on the pulse of who is leading and changing the conversation and the broader culture at large. (A sense of humor is also a plus.)

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or related experience and/or training.
  • 5+ years of experience in a brand marketing/communications role, preferably within a lifestyle or beauty brand.
  • Prior creative responsibilities or close collaboration with creative partners is a strong plus.
  • Skincare and fragrance experiences are preferred.
  • Solid understanding of the marketing funnel and proven ability and excitement for creating engaging and persuasive content for a variety of marketing channels, including brand campaigns, email, and social media.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills paired with strong creative sensibilities. An ability to think conceptually, contribute new and creative ideas and develop stories.
  • Knowledge of various distribution sales channels (specifically within the beauty category) and experience working with a diverse mix of retailers.
  • Analytical ability and critical thinking skills to process and make decisions based on data. High comfort level working with numbers and financial details.
  • Passion for the beauty industry + in-tune with cultural marketing trends in creative, media, digital and social.
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and the ability to multitask.
  • Shares excitement to be part of a small, nimble, and passionate team where a teamwork mentality is required.
  • Excellent communicator who can clearly and concisely convey your thoughts and ideas to any audience in any context.
  • Google Suite, Google Analytics, MS Office

Responsibilities

  • Own the Integrated Marketing Calendar, serving as the central source of truth across launches, campaigns, and channel programming. Develop communication strategies bridging distribution channels (brand-owned retail, brand.com, wholesale, retailer.com, distributor)
  • Own the briefing process for the Digital Marketing Agency of Record — writing creative briefs, defining audiences, articulating KPIs, reviewing concepts, and providing feedback
  • Manage day-to-day agency relationship and deliverables
  • Own the global launch toolkit (conceptualization, development, and execution across channels per SOP)
  • Own the development of the Trade Marketing Plan
  • Support Sr. Director in refining tools/processes for market execution
  • Own annual marketing process documentation, including the Annual Price Increase process
  • Generate insights from data/research to identify growth opportunities and inform post-launch analysis
  • Collaborate with creative and digital teams on content across the customer journey leveraging these insights
  • Identify efficiency/capacity opportunities and flag to direct management
  • Collaborate on annual Brand Marketing budget management
  • Own project management for external brand collaborations/partnerships
  • Own day-to-day management of the PR/Communications Agency of Record
  • Support social commerce launch/expansion (programming, strategic input, briefs)
