About The Position

Join the WK Kellogg Co team in Battle Creek, Michigan as a Senior Manager, North America Payroll Operations. As a Senior Manager, North America Payroll Operations, you’ll lead payroll operations across North America, ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely payroll delivery for employees in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Puerto Rico. In this role, you will partner closely with HR, Finance, and external vendors to manage complex payroll processes while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement. You’ll serve as a trusted leader, overseeing payroll compliance, financial accuracy, and system effectiveness—while guiding a high-performing team in a dynamic, multi-country environment. We’re looking for you to bring strong leadership, deep payroll expertise, and a continuous improvement mindset to elevate payroll operations and deliver a seamless employee experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive payroll experience, including leadership responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll regulations across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
  • Experience managing multi-country payroll operations and complex compliance requirements.
  • Proven experience with payroll systems, vendors, and large-scale payroll processing.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across functions.
  • High attention to detail, confidentiality, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience leading hybrid and multicultural teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end payroll operations across multiple countries, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
  • Oversee payroll processing, tax compliance, reporting (W-2, T4), and reconciliations across legal entities.
  • Manage relationships with payroll vendors and ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX controls, internal policies, and federal/state/provincial regulations.
  • Partner cross-functionally (HR, Finance, Benefits) to ensure data integrity and seamless payroll processes.
  • Analyze payroll data, identify trends, and drive process improvements and efficiencies.
  • Oversee payroll system performance, upgrades, and controls, ensuring data accuracy and security.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team, fostering a high-performance and collaborative environment.
  • Manage payroll budgets, audits, and financial reporting activities.
