About The Position

As a Senior Manager Network Security Engineering at MKS Inc., you will partner with all Engineering Teams, Operations Teams, Business Units, Field Services, and Vendors as required to perform engineering design and implementation of the company’s internal network and data communications systems, with a focus on overall network security protocols. In this role, you will report to the Director of IT Connectivity.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field or related work experience
10+ years in IT/network/security roles with 5+ years in leadership
CISSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent
CCNP/CCIE Security, GIAC, or cloud security certifications
Drive delivery of segmentation and security programs across global sites and environments
Cross-functional collaboration (IT, OT, cloud, app teams)

Integration with NOC/SOC and monitoring platforms
Ensure alignment with enterprise security policies, standards, and compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO, CIS)
Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures
Collaborate with third-party providers and vendors to implement and operate secure solutions
Strong expertise in segmentation design and attack surface reduction

Responsibilities

Define and execute the enterprise network security strategy and roadmap aligned with business objectives
Partner with IT, infrastructure, and application teams to embed security into all network initiatives
Influence senior stakeholders on risk posture, investment priorities, and security architecture decisions
Oversee design, implementation, and lifecycle management of network security solutions including: Firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS, NAC, ZTNA
Network segmentation and zero trust controls
Ensure secure architecture across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments
Evaluate and implement new technologies to strengthen security posture
Lead major security initiatives (e.g., segmentation, zero trust, cloud security)
Support Director of IT with budget planning and initiatives as needed
Ability to take and follow directions and instructions.
Ability to interact with other employees, customers, suppliers, vendors, or the public, in a safe, professional, and respectful manner.
Access to sensitive and confidential business systems and software, personally identifying information, the company’s financial information, and/or the ability to maintain physical security and safety.
