Responsibilities

  • Manages other Managers, Supervisors, and/or individual contributors in a matrix environment, and is accountable for conducting effective performance management and meaningful career development conversations.
  • Leads the continued development and execution of the Medical Affairs strategy, including external stakeholder management, communication, patient identification, evidence generation, publications, and medical education.
  • Translates organizational goals into processes in order to fulfill unmet medical needs through the generation of scientific evidence.
  • Directs activities for the delivery of scientific value to key stakeholders and patients.
  • Directs activities for medical affairs and medical information teams.
  • Communicates direction for the creation of materials and content used in scientific communications.
  • Develops policies and procedures for external stakeholder management, scientific communications, evidence generation, publications, and medical education activities.
  • Facilitates clinical studies and investigator-initiated research.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of professional information and technology through conferences and/or medical literature and acts as a resource for the team.
  • Responsible for managing operational aspects of their team (e.g., workflow, performance, and compliance), as well as ensuring achievement of team goals within established timelines and budgets.
  • Integrates Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives into team goals and decision making.
