About The Position

The Senior Manager, MAx Strategy & Business Operations plays a critical role in enabling effective decision ‑ making, alignment, and operational excellence across the MAx organization. This role partners closely with the MAx core functional areas—including Global Market Access & HEOR, International Access, and Global Pricing—to drive consistent, high ‑ quality execution across strategic planning, business operations, and people strategy initiatives. Reporting to the Senior Director, MAx Strategy & Business Operations, this position serves as a trusted operational partner, ensuring strong governance, clear communication, and scalable infrastructure to support a complex, global, matrixed organization. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational judgment, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high standard of quality and professionalism.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in business operations, strategy, project management, or a related field, preferably within pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare environments.
  • Working knowledge of Global Market Access, Pricing, and/or Value Demonstration (MAx) functions, with experience operating in a global, matrixed organization.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting strategic planning, governance forums, leadership meetings, and cross‑functional initiatives.
  • Proven ability to drive consistent, high‑quality execution across multiple workstreams while managing competing priorities.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills, with comfort interacting with senior leaders.
  • Experience managing collaboration platforms and operational infrastructure (e.g., SharePoint, shared inboxes and calendars, recurring forums).
  • High degree of professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment when handling confidential information and leadership communications.
  • Proactive, self‑motivated mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning, Governance & People Strategy: Enable MAx strategic planning and people strategy initiatives through effective governance, leadership engagement, and cross‑functional coordination. Support leadership forums and culture‑building efforts by ensuring clear agendas, aligned materials, and timely follow‑up to drive accountability and decision‑making. Partner with stakeholders across MAx to reinforce consistent operating rhythms and ways of working.
  • Congress & Conference Operations: Serve as the primary liaison between Congress Management and MAx, owning the MAx‑wide execution model for major congresses and conferences. Lead end‑to‑end operational coordination, including attendee registration, logistics, and cross‑functional alignment, to ensure seamless execution and a consistent experience across therapeutic areas and regions.
  • MAx Forums & Recurring Meetings: Lead the planning and operational execution of key recurring MAx forums (e.g., Marketing Touchpoints, MAx Forums, DEX meetings). Oversee end‑to‑end meeting operations, including distribution list management, agenda and material consolidation, timely dissemination of outputs, and maintenance of meeting records and repositories. Ensure meeting materials and recordings are accessible, organized, and consistently managed to support transparency and institutional knowledge.
  • Operational Infrastructure & Communications: Manage and maintain MAx SharePoint and Value Pack sites, establishing governance standards to ensure content is well‑organized, current, and easily accessible in collaboration with content owners. Oversee the OneMAx email inbox, triaging inquiries and routing appropriately to enable efficient, consistent, and scalable communication across the MAx organization. Support ownership of the OneMAx calendar, ensuring accuracy and visibility of key meetings, milestones, and events to promote alignment and awareness.
  • Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Identify and advance opportunities to improve processes, including the thoughtful application of AI and digital tools, to enhance operational effectiveness, scalability, and efficiency across MAx.
