About The Position

The Senior Manager, Material Planning establishes policies that guide strategies and execution of planning tools, processes, and personnel for raw-component-level planning. The role oversees component yield planning, lineside kanban sizing, MRP plan-load accuracy, ECO process guidance and best practices, component planning and excess-and-obsolete (E&O) mitigation for major product transitions, and chronic-shortage analysis. It collaborates with Planning, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Service teams to streamline component planning and material flow, drive operational excellence, and develop recovery plans for chronic shortages. The position is accountable for component-level MRP integrity and material planning, including component buffering, inventory strategies, E&O analysis, yield planning, and material-load reviews. It leads lineside kanban sizing and implementation, shortage recovery and material-flow improvements, inter-factory transfers and raw-material allocation, and planning activities for product transitions and new product introduction (NPI). It also establishes performance metrics and facilitates improvements to planning tools and ERP/MRP functionality for scalable raw-material planning.
