About The Position

The Senior Manager, Market Intelligence will report to the head of Market Intelligence for the U.S. foundry business and be responsible for foundry market modelling, competitive sensing, and market intelligence. The outputs from this role will be critical to supporting current growth as well as setting mid & long-term strategy. This position is based in San Jose, CA, USA but will require extensive collaboration across the organization, including with sales/account managers, business development, equity & market research analysts, and counter-parts in Korea headquarters. The successful candidate should have the key skills required for the job, including strong analytical experience, expert–level forecasting / modeling skills, a solid understanding of foundry, ASIC, and OSAT customer and competitor landscape. The candidate will be responsible for establishing much of the systems, processes, and models to support the market intelligence function. More importantly, the candidate must be comfortable solving problems even when data is incomplete, as well as working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Demand modelling: create foundry (wafer and revenue) demand estimates for various industry verticals in the semiconductor market
  • Storytelling: craft compelling narratives in market research reports and presentations to convince management of recommended course of action
  • Market sensing: summarize & analyze earnings calls from key competitors and industry players to identify implications and track key market indicators e.g. inventory at key customers, segment growth, etc. to identify threats and opportunities. Propose actions to management team.
  • Strategic analysis: work with account managers on strategic projects including validating customer demand, quantifying new opportunities or TAM within customers or segments, etc. Support creation of CEO and board-level analysis for strategy meetings.
  • Analysis of macro and microeconomic trends and its impact on the foundry business
  • Present analysis to key executives based on data and sensing results
  • Create process and systems to execute the above tasks in an efficient and systematic manner.
  • Complete other responsibilities as assigned.
