We're looking for a Senior Manager, Manufacturing Operations to lead an entire manufacturing value stream within our plant. In this highly visible leadership role, you'll be responsible for driving operational excellence while developing and inspiring both salaried and hourly teams. Requirements

  • Must have the ability to teach, to facilitate meetings, to provide constructive feedback and listen actively.
  • Must be able to identify, analyze and resolve problems in multi-functional settings.
  • Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills to coach and lead high involvement work teams.
  • Must have demonstrated skills in achievement of business goals and change implementation.
  • 7 years of experience in operation and maintenance of a production facility.
  • BS Engineering (IE, ME or EE) OR equivalent experience
  • Ability to lead and influence a team of skilled maintenance employees.
  • Working knowledge in software packages such as MS Office Suite (Project, Word, Excel) and Email.

Nice To Haves

  • 7 years of experience in manufacturing/plant operations.
  • Black Belt/MBB certification with strong knowledge of Lean, DMAIC, workout and other change mechanisms.
  • Demonstrated accomplishments showing results-driven methodology, analytical methods, schedule achievement, team work.
  • Lean Manufacturing implementation experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal and leadership influencing skills.
  • Familiar with OSHA and EPA Requirements related to maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all day-to-day operations for a manufacturing value stream, including production, maintenance, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Develop and execute the annual operational strategy, aligning business objectives with plant performance goals.
  • Drive key performance metrics related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Culture (SQDCC).
  • Lead, coach, and develop salaried leaders, maintenance teams, and hourly employees to build a high-performing organization.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Utilize Lean Manufacturing principles and the Appliance Production System to eliminate waste, improve processes, and increase operational efficiency.
  • Lead daily operating rhythms, production meetings, escalation processes, and performance reviews to ensure execution of business priorities.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Human Resources, and Maintenance to solve complex manufacturing challenges.
  • Champion Kaizen events, root cause problem solving, standardized work, and process stability initiatives.
  • Manage department budgets, operational metrics, and resource planning to achieve business objectives.
  • Coaching and developing Area Business Leaders, Process Improvement Engineers, Team Leaders, and other emerging talent.
  • Providing performance feedback, career development, and succession planning.
  • Supporting hiring, employee engagement, and talent development initiatives.
  • Partnering closely with Human Resources to ensure consistent application of company policies and employee relations practices.
  • Ensuring products consistently meet quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Driving improvements in First Pass Yield, Overall Yield, scrap reduction, and other key quality metrics.
  • Leading structured problem-solving and cross-functional corrective actions.
  • Promoting standardized work, process discipline, and continuous improvement throughout the value stream.
  • Creating and maintaining a strong safety-first culture.
  • Leading safety observations, audits, investigations, and corrective actions.
  • Ensuring compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Driving proactive initiatives that reduce risk and continuously improve workplace safety.
