About The Position

The Senior Manager, Lean plays a critical role in helping Operations and Quality organizations achieve their strategic priorities through process improvement, operational effectiveness, organizational capability building, and business transformation. This role partners closely with leaders across Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering, and other functions to improve how work gets done, strengthen organizational performance, and drive sustainable business results that support product quality, reliability, and patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • Experience leading cross-functional operational excellence, business transformation, continuous improvement, or organizational effectiveness initiatives.
  • Demonstrated success driving measurable business results through process improvement and stakeholder collaboration.
  • Strong analytical, facilitation, project management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable influencing stakeholders across multiple levels of the organization.
  • Experience operating in regulated or highly complex environments.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
  • Effectively communicate and build strong partnerships across diverse teams and functions.
  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree with 13+ years of industry experience
  • Typically requires 5-8 years of successful management experience in relevant industry
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience within medical device, healthcare, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or other regulated industries.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Agile, Change Management, or Operational Excellence methodologies.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred.
  • Experience supporting digital transformation, automation, analytics, or process modernization initiatives.
  • Proven ability to influence without direct authority and drive adoption of new ways of working.
  • Experience building organizational capability through coaching, training, or leadership development programs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support cross-functional initiatives that improve operational performance, quality, efficiency, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Partner with leaders to identify opportunities, solve complex business challenges, and implement sustainable improvements.
  • Facilitate strategic problem-solving sessions, process reviews, workshops, and improvement initiatives across Operations and Quality.
  • Help establish and mature operational management systems, performance metrics, governance routines, and accountability mechanisms.
  • Leverage Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other operational excellence methodologies to drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Partner with teams to simplify, standardize, automate, and optimize business processes.
  • Support change management efforts associated with new technologies, organizational changes, and business transformation initiatives.
  • Develop and coach leaders and teams on structured problem-solving, continuous improvement, and operational excellence principles.
  • Utilize data, insights, and performance metrics to identify opportunities and measure impact.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, IT, and other stakeholders to advance strategic priorities.
  • Ensure improvement initiatives support regulatory, compliance, and quality system requirements.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and change agent, helping build a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and operational excellence.
